I'll admit that in an informal environment, I responded hastily without checking the source. I avoid giving LA Times the hits. But the LA Times is not the source for the comment, "[See Pic #7: Looter With Obama T-Shirt]."

The LA Times photographer did not view such fantastic destruction and focus, instead, on a political statement.

I consider this thread to be a disgrace, and a horrible embarrassment to FR. I dare suppose that if Phoenix or San Diego were completely destroyed by an earthquake, there might be some Republicans rummaging through through the devestation. Even if the point is legitimate (I'll admit they guy's posture hardly suggests that "looting" really meant that he was scavenging for survival), it's still mind-boggling that amidst such devestation and destruction anyone can focus on a political T-shirt.

This isn't like Katrina... "Looter guy" was comical because he was so absurdly not desperate, since he was carrying exclusively Heinekens... No domestic beer for this looter!

The LA TIMES reporter is the source for the information, which included mention of the OBAMA t-shirt and the wearer being a looter.

You are trying to criticize JET JAGUAR for NOTING what was already NOTED by the REPORTER.

Yes, the reporter/photographer did.

HERE IS THE EXACT QUOTE FROM THE LATIMES

Haiti earthquake (Carolyn Cole / Los Angeles Times / January 15, 2010) A man taking part in the looting of a downtown Port-au-Prince store wears an Obama T-shirt.
