U.S. Rep. Mark Kirk is the favorite in the Republican primary for U.S. Senate, and for very good reason. He has been an extraordinarily effective representative of the independent-minded 10th Congressional District for a decade. His track record shows he has conservative principles and he has the instincts to succeed in Washington, no matter which party is in control.
Kirk is all about fiscal responsibility. He wants to reduce the national debt, balance the budget and stop the disgraceful practice of earmarking billions of taxpayer dollars for politicians' pet projects. He's a committed free trade advocate. He's attentive to the needs of his district, working for jobs, economic development and environmental causes, including a massive Great Lakes restoration initiative won in collaboration with then-Rep. Rahm Emanuel, a Democrat.
Few members of Congress can match Kirk's grasp of national defense or veterans issues...

The Chicago Tribune endorses the RINO Kirk. Surprise!
I keep getting his mailings. They serve to fill up my waste basket.
Vomit. What a load of fail this RINO swill is.
A CONFEDERACY OF FOOLS
Author unknown.
The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of
entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit
and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary
common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such
a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious
than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of
the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made
him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after
all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such
as those who made him their president.
Kirk isn’t eeven close to a RINO ... he is an out and out democrat. Dump him NOW!

How Pat Hughes Compares To Mark Kirk
Patrick Hughes opposes Cap and Trade Mark Kirk was one of 8 Republicans who voted for it.
Patrick Hughes supports Americas progress towards energy independence Mark Kirk opposes using Americas resources to gain energy independence. He voted for prohibiting oil drilling and development in ANWR.
Patrick Hughes believes in Peace through Strength; a strong national defense Mark Kirk says he does too, but when the political going got tough, he was one of a handful of Republicans who voted against the surge, which was one of the single biggest turning points in the Iraq War.
Patrick Hughes supports the 2nd Amendment and the individual right to bear arms Mark Kirk gets an F rating from the NRA and an F- from Gun Owners of America He does, however, get very high marks from groups advocating more gun control and bans.
Patrick Hughes is pro-life. He has always stood up for the rights of the unborn Mark Kirk is adamantly pro-abortion. He even voted against the ban on the hideous practice of partial-birth abortion He gets a 100% rating from both Planned Parenthood and NARAL. He is in the top tier of pro-abortion Republicans in Congress.
Patrick Hughes believes in a traditional definition of marriage Mark Kirk voted against an amendment to define marriage as between one man and one woman.
Patrick Hughes believes hate crime laws are divisive and unconstitutional Mark Kirk joined left wing Democrats in sponsoring hate crime legislation
Hopefully he can win the primary.
He voted for Cap and Trade. One of 8 Republicans. There is nothing conservative about him. He is pro gay radicalism. He voted against the Partial Birth Abortion Amendment. He is an ideological liberal with the only exception being possibly national security. Kirk is not a Moderate by any stretch.

I think I’m supporting Patrick Hughes in this race. We need to do a Rubio on this one. There is no reason to go with liberal Kirk. I’ll do some more research but Hughes looks good. I wish Andy Martin would just disappear. I’m convinced he is a Democrat plant to make conservatives look stupid.

If the Chicago tribune is building him up, if he gets along so well with Rahm Emmanuel...There must be something seriously evil about him..Either that, or this ids some kind of reverse psychology tactic to destroy his candidacy.
Beware!

ah an LGF ‘conservative’
We have to move quickly. The Illinois primary is Feb 2nd. Two weeks away. We need a Scott-Brown-Surge in this race. It can happen but conservatives nationwide need to help out Hughes ASAP!
