Third parties are for idiots and for those who want liberals to win.

I agree. Who’s suggesting a third party?

I saw the debate, none impressed me. I prefer Medina’s constitutional ideals but she can’t win (she needs to get in as a Republican). Perry got caught like a deer-in-the-headlights a few times by Kay. Still, Perry looked better than Kay. I pray one day I won’t be reduced to picking the least of evils.

I hope one day the Tea Party can over-take the big R party and make it little r. Founders rule.

I think some folks are misinformed. Debra Medina is a Republican, she’s running as a Republican and these are Republican primary debates.

There’s no third party in play here.

What are you talking about? This is a Republican primary.

I apologize then, I’m ill informed. As I understood it... she was an Independent. It has been a few months back that she was on Mike Church, my recall was (I). Then I saw the debates from last week.

I guess I will just be blunt and dumb here, because it is important to me/us. What are her chances of beating Perry? Kay just CAN’T be Governor! I agree with Medina most, but I won’t allow Kay to be gov on my vote.

Maybe she can get on Church again? Church gets me through these sad days with brains, spunk and HUMOR. I would lose my mind w/o Church. She needs more exposure, if it’s not this round, she should keep on going, get known!

She also needs to work on not playing her base/ideals of thought (hard time expressing what it is) above directly answering the question of the anal ‘gotcha folk’ as Palin would call them. They try and minimize her.

Gads, I’m battin’ zero tonight!

My apologies.
I heard a Freeper call Medina a 3rd party candidate, in a previous thread.
I took that as fact.
I tried to swat down a fly before it landed -—
and there was no fly.

I spoke on bad information and I apologize.

I agree with you - she's got an uphill battle and her debate performance the other night wasn't stellar.

But THIS is the opportunity you were talking about. This is how Tea Partiers take over the Republican primary and get somebody other than Tweedle Dee (Hutchison) and Tweedle Dum (Perry).

No problemo. If you run into that other freeper again let them know too!

Tell me how we can win against them. She has what we want and need it is just not polished yet. We can’t go ape-chit and land with a (D) an even worse fate than Kay!

We can come together and work hard for the next round. I’ve given up this round to lockstep but I’ve not given up forever. We need to have stamina...

They should let her in that debate or we should threaten to vote for bill white...it is ridiculous that all the local radio and news are acting like she isn’t even a candidate. The government needs to fear the people again. We have been too complacent.

For Medina’s first time at bat the other night, she did good.

Hopefully she can polish up her delivery and she’ll be fine IF she is allowed to participate.

Meanwhile back at the ranch, Kay and Perry were typical politicians answering everything but what they were asked.

I’m sure both Perry and Kay’s team are pitching hard not to have Medina participate.

She would embarrass them again.

Good luck to her.

Well, Medina will definitely live or die on her own in the primaries in March. And I think the voters in the primary will do whatever math they need to to figure out what’s best for the party.

But in the meantime, the least we can do is make sure that everybody like her can at least step up and get a fair shake! Otherwise, the party machinery gets to decide who wins the primary rather than us.

And that’s what’s gotten us into this mess - the party perpetuating itself rather than representing us.
