Sarah Palin has been portrayed as the devil - with lipstick as horns - on the cover of a Left-wing British magazine. The Republican sabre-rattler, who ran as John McCain’s running mate in the 2008 presidential election, was pictured on the front of the New Statesman. The former Alaska governor, who famously described herself during that campaign as a 'pit-bull with lipstick', is seen as a potent symbol of America’s resurgent Right. As support for President Barack Obama wanes, Mrs Palin is increasingly being tipped as a candidate for the 2012 election – although she has not yet admitted she intends to run. She continues to raise her profile among grass-roots Republicans, whose party – although divided and leaderless – is expected to destroy the Democrats’ filibuster-proof Senate majority in November’s mid-term elections. This week the 45-year-old mother-of-five made her debut as a ‘regular commentator’ on the conservative Fox News Channel.
But many viewers who saw her on The O'Reilly Factor, the highest-rated of the network’s primetime shows, may have felt a bit let down. Media critics said she was unable to ‘get off being a candidate and politician’ However, given her self-acclaimed roll to represent the ‘real people’ of America and her strong working-class support, these teething troubles may not prove to be much of a stumbling block to her career ambitions. She contrasted herself with President Barack Obama who she said does not ‘get’ ordinary American folk and hence his approval rating is sliding down the polls. ‘Of course they're sinking,’ she told the host Bill O'Reilly.

English journalists have absolutely no understanding of Americans who live west of the northeastern seaboard. They like Obama because he behaves properly and because they see that he is a social democrat in his policies.
I would want for no less in an American official than to be despised by the European left, at least as much as I despise the European left.
There really is no way to measure how sick and twisted these freaks of nature are. It boggles the mind how such a normal person can get them to bang their heads against the wall so hard and pull all their hair out. Their ignorance, anger and lack of self respect is so deep, it can never be reached!

I dunno. I kind of enjoy them treating her like a pitbull. They like to taunt but they’re real afraid of her bite. There’s a degree of grudging respect.

The Daily Mail is written (mostly) by British journalists and has a right-wing readership and slant, as the comments and their ratings demonstrate....
All the Brits have to do is look at what they have done to their own country.
What an embarrasment they are. Talk about laying down and rolling over like cowards. I hardly think their words mean anything constructive or good.
Not all English journalists are the same, especially if you read the Telegraph. But the main problem with most "independent" journalists, American or foreign, is that they simply don't understand basic conservatism. They operate from the assumption that all candidates must accomodate the welfare state and how best will they do so. They don't understand that maybe the welfare state is the problem.
Nobody makes the enemedia scream like Sarah. Each time they do, it is a vote that we have Ronald Reagan back with us. This time, he’s in a skirt.
