Two bad for Obama
New York Post ^ | January 17, 2010 | Michael Goodwin

President Obama had some low points in his first year, but it looks like we ain't seen nothing yet. Year 2 of his reign of error is shaping up as more of the same, only worse.

Much worse.

In just one day last week, Obama hatched two incredibly awful ideas. Either alone would be bad news for the country.

Together they could create more damage to a nation already staggered by 10 percent unemployment, huge deficits and political polarization.

What iceberg? Full speed ahead!

The Thursday decisions to punish banks for making money and to exempt union workers from an onerous health-care tax appear to have little in common, but they actually share a vital link. Both are the spawn of rank politics, with Obama using government power to reward friends and punish enemies.

ILLUSTrATION: leah tiscione

First came the bank tax and, like so many other bad initiatives, his announcement was chock full of misleading arguments. It's an ominous sign when truth is the enemy.

Even the name distorts, with the tax called the Financial Crisis Responsibility Fee. Get it? It's not a tax. It's a fee. And it's got a moral basis -- hence "responsibility."

Carter was a very bad President. It is inconceivable someone could do worse but Obama is on his way.

I would argue he has already passed that milestone.

Obama's problem is twofold. First he does not have a clue what he is doing. And second he is not a leader. Never has been. He is the spawn of kingmakers who groomed him for the next highest office his entire career.

Remember Robocop? He worked best when he had clear decisive directives to follow. Then he got his upgrade and his few clear directives now numbered in the hundreds addressing everything from smoking to enviromental issues. Some in clear conflict with one another. This is the problem with Obama. Too many damned directives.

You are right but you want to know what? If he is not made to step down, He will be put on that $ bill and he will be made an immortal. Some how, we have to gain access to all his records to reveal who this idiot truly is because, like I said, if he is allowed to continue this charade, we will have days and weeks named after the kenyan, village idiot.

Obama using government power to reward friends and punish enemies

This needs to be the theme that every Republican runs on.

You never consider the obvious answer, Obama is trying to destroy the American economy on purpose. Obama doesn't appoint communists as czars because these people have not been properly researched, it's because that's who Obama is, a radical leftist who wants to destroy American capitalism and the best way to do that is to destroy the banks.

Obama was so close to his goal but the damned bankers made money and paid back their blood money so Obama, like a spoiled child, wants to tax them into the poorhouse. Some of us have figured out what the bottom line is with this traitor.

Obama is a radical leftist who is more radical than you can apparently comprehend.

Carter: worst in terms of competence

Clinton: worst in terms of character

And the amazing thing is that Obama will probably surpass both of them.

I remember Carter well and I was about seven at the time so what does that tell you? And it wasn't that my parents were involved in politics or it was talked about in my house. It was just that bad that even a kid knew it.

As a Cold War kid, I clearly remember the day the helicopters crashed in the desert.
