ROSEVILLE, Calif. (AP) - A driver whose SUV plunged into a Northern California creek after he was startled by his hands-free cell phone device escaped the sinking vehicle by blasting out the window with a handgun. The 28-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately available, is an armed security guard at Thunder Valley Casino, north of Sacramento. He sustained minor injuries in Sunday's accident.

I thought you were starting to sing a song.
I shot the window,
but I did not shoot my AT&T.
(I imagine after firing his gun inside his vehicle he’ll be using the ‘vibrate’ feature for awhile!)

Justifiable, self defense shooting.

He’ll hear ringing in his ears for a very long time.
Trust me on this.

I’m not sure that a man who gets startled by a cell phone should be carrying a loaded gun.
Just sayin’
To: Nachum
Yet another reason for a CHL.
All passengers in cars driven by Kennedys should be carrying (for alot of reasons).

I notice that when Mythbusters did a segment on this, they did not consider using a gun to bust the window to get out.

Well, it depends on the caliber. If it was his .357 or his Kimber .45, then yeah, he won’t even hear his phone ring til next week ;-)
But if it was some little .38 purse gun ...
AND, like others have commented on, we need to correct the phrase “after he was startled by his hands-free cell phone device” to read “lost control of his vehicle after screwing with his cel phone on an unfamiliar part of the road.”

10,000 pieces of glass propelled by 1000’s of gallons of water, sounds like a shredder to me.

Escape from New GM
Frowning takes 68 muscles.
Smiling takes 6.
Pulling this trigger takes 2.
I'm lazy.
