We leaned over too, after she asked us what the orange glow was. A guy on the other side said it was just the plane lights but we decided that was not it. We kept looking and it turned out to be the most beautiful moonrise we had ever seen. The pilot came on and told everyone to look out our side windows to see the blue moonrise A GREMLIN! A GREMLIN ON THE WING!!!

Funny thing...I once took a plane ride in Alaska in Feb 1979 to get over my fear of flying...

Needless to say, we did crash.....

I ain't been afraid since then. I figure the odds are in my favor, now...:-)
