VICTORVILLE, Calif. (AP) - uthorities have rescued four teenagers trapped by rising water in a Southern California storm drain as powerful rains pounded the region.
Victorville police say one of the teens called police Monday and said they were hanging from a ladder leading to a manhole cover, but did not know their exact location.

The Mojave River has a huge flood channel. It has to fill up, occasionally, to carve something like that and keep it open. I bet it looks like the Mississippi right now.
