The Candidate With The Right Message: (Mary Matalin: Scott Brown And Conservatism In MA Alert)
National Review ^ | 1/19/2010 | Mary Matalin

While trickery is a concern, the tracking all seems to be on Scott Brown's side. They have great turnout and ballot-integrity operations in place. The local pollster who always picks the three bellwether counties has Brown exceeding Cellucci's and Romney's numbers.

Martha Coakley started cratering when Bill Clinton came in and imploded after Obama's attack on the truck. 59 percent think she ran a negative campaign; 15 percent think he did. Millions came in online in the last week.

Conservatives have noted this but it has otherwise gone mostly unreported: Brown ran not only on the 41st anti-health-care vote, but also on tax cuts, limited government, and the proper prosecution of the war on terrorists. If Republicans want to win, we have to get the message out that tax cuts work, no rights for terrorists works, and limited government works.

Scott Brown's first John F. Kennedy spot of tax cuts should be the screensaver on all our computers.

Scott Brown is a conservative winning in a Blue-Blue-Blue State! Here's what's been unnoticed:

Brown ran not only on the 41st anti-health-care vote, but also on tax cuts, limited government, and the proper prosecution of the war on terrorists."

100% pure unaldulterated conservatism, folks! Its the stuff that wins elections!

I just heard Rush Limbaugh say the White House said “If we had been asked to come and help earlier, we could have made more of a difference.” So Rush is saying they are throwing Coakely under the bus already.

One day, before I die I’d like to ask Mary Matlin what a smart girl like here was thinking when she married James Carville! I’ll never understand that!

Scott Brown is a strong conservative.

I have followed him locally for years. He’s been a regular on Howie Carr’s show, one of the few conservatives in Massachusetts.

The folks who call him a RINO are clueless.

Mary Matalin is a RINO.

She is conservative on fiscal matters, relatively moderate on social ones. She is also smart and honest. I am proud to call her a friend and fellow conservative. So she married a troll, that happens alot in DC. The available numbers of straight, conservative men in DC is limited. From what I know, she loves the guy, so far be it for me to judge their marriage. They both seem to be committed parents and solid citizens.

i wouldn't judge their marriage but she has to be coked up to have sex with that freak.

Instead of "not tonight hon, I've got a headache", her answer is, "you're look'en better, just three more lines".

First of all, I think her competence as a political observer, consultant, and operative are overrated. She is a loser when it comes to running political campaigns.,

Second, I am very tired of the good cop, bad cop routine she and her husband have parlayed into millions of dollars.

Finally, this has nothing to do with her marriage or her family.
