When Scott went after Obama for coddling terrorists, it showed he has some backbone.

Brown said as much at one point saying he was off script. I liked the impromtu stuff. To me it showed his human side. Refreshing!

He has already shown more guts than 3/4ths of the Republicans in the House and Senate by immediately going after Obama for his coddling of terrorists.

This guy has already proven that he is a fighter. I am optimistic here.

“And let me say this, with respect to those who wish to harm us, I believe that our Constitution and laws exist to protect this nation - they do not grant rights and privileges to enemies in wartime. In dealing with terrorists, our tax dollars should pay for weapons to stop them, not lawyers to defend them.”

His oratory is outstanding. Perhaps he will be a keynote speaker at the GOP convention.

Yes! Best case scenario: he keeps it up. To have just one Republican in DC calling BS on the administration when it needs to be called would be so wonderful. And he makes it just that much harder to bring those creatures from Guantanamo to New York and DC for trial.

I like the way he gets his point across using an economy of words........everybody gets the message but nobody gets offended.

A BACKBONE FORGED IN STEEL One FReeper posted: Scott volunteered when we first met, "I'm an officer in the Army National Guard -- and I carry."

I am afraid he will be asked to shoulder too many burdens---that Americans will depend on him to solve all the problesm caused by this admin.

I thought Coakley gave a pretty gracious concession speech too. Unfortuately for her, her best was her last. ;-)

The guy deserved to be hauled to the graveyard in a dump truck. Speaking of that, did you hear how they were expecting his constituents to mob the streets for his funeral and it didn't happen?

I said at the very beginning, when I sat down at the dinner table with my family, that win or lose we would run a race which would make us all proud. I kept my word and we ran a clean, issues oriented, upbeat campaign - and I wouldn’t trade that for anything.

Same game plan as McDonnell and Cuccinelli in Virginia. It works.

I like him too. He does appear to have a great future. Let’s see what he does once he punches the clock before
we give him a promotion and raise. We don’t need anymore Obamas.

Just heard Rove on FNC ... if he had to “bet” he says there will be 50 Dems and 2 Independents in the senate after midterms.

Who would be the other I?

I don't know if you addressed this here on this thread or others today but Brown's win now makes Barry's campaign help -- 'Oh-for'. Even in that NY 23rd district special election race, the RAT Bill Owens barely won over the 'Tea Party Independent' guy Doug Hoffman. The RAT won by the exact percent of idiots who voted for Repub turn-coat, Deedee Scuzzyfuzzy (who wasn't even in the race on election day). So Barry's campaigning for Owens didn't really help.

So IMHO what we're seeing is that Obama is radioactive. The people have seen through his false Hopey-Changy thing for what it really is, Communism lite, and are saying No Thank YOU! Barry's 100% Toxic and his end is near -- impeachment and conviction in 2011 for Treason and Abuse of Power.

an aside: Many are saying Brown's win would be the start of the New Revolution. I say it started back in NY, on November 20, 2009 with Hoffman. Kind of like the Boston Massacre being the 'real' start of the American Revolution, not the Battle at Lexington-Concord, nor the Boston Tea Party.

And next to go in Nov is 'Hairy Reed' (sic).
He's so far behind in Nev polls he thinks he's ahead :-)
