Strong Aftershock Hits Haiti
Wall Street Journal ^ | AP

PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti—A powerful aftershock struck Haiti on Wednesday, shaking buildings and sending screaming people running into the streets only eight days after the country's capital was devastated by a major earthquake.

The U.S. Geological Survey said the magnitude-6.1 tremblor hit at 6:03 a.m. (11:03 a.m. GMT) about 35 miles northwest of the capital of Port-au-Prince. It struck at a depth of 13.7 miles but was located too far inland to generate any tidal waves in the Caribbean.

Wails of terror rose Wednesday from frightened survivors of the apocalyptic quake that struck eight days ago as people as people poured out of unstable buildings.

It wasn't immediately possible to ascertain what additional damage the new quake may have caused.

Last week's magnitude-7 quake killed an estimated 200,000 people in Haiti, left 250,000 injured and made 1.5 million homeless. A massive international aid effort has been launched, but is struggling with overwhelming logistical problems.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14(KJV) G*D said it to Pre-AD Isreal BUT this Holy Bible verse applies to ALL countries on his globe.

Yes, I think so, it would appear it has become very active. Like the quakes in the Pacific were a couple of months ago.

If this all sounds strange to you, welcome to God's world.

Be careful about becoming overconfident with the devil. For example, don't be so arrogant as to believe that you are introducing me to God.

Maybe you're telling me about your understanding of Him, fine. Maybe you're Mephistopheles on the internet trying to divert me away from God with your "speaking in tongues."

Proverbs 15 has plenty of advice for us.

in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.” —Mark 16:15-18

And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. —Acts 2:1-4

For they were hearing them speaking in tongues and extolling God. Then Peter declared, “Can anyone withhold water for baptizing these people, who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” —Acts 10:44-47

And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying. —Acts 19:6

Pursue love, and earnestly desire the spiritual gifts, especially that you may prophesy. For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; —1 Corinthians 14:1-5

So, my brothers, earnestly desire to prophesy, and do not forbid speaking in tongues. But all things should be done decently and in order. —1 Corinthians 14:37-40

whether or not the Lord or satan *caused* these geo events isnt the point...

we all fall short of His Glory...ALL OF US...

I believe this is more of a wake up call to those who keep procrastinating about their repentance/redemption than any *sign* about the less than perfect condition of Haiti in particular...or me/us in general...

“...more of a wake up call ...”

Every day should be a wake up call...every day that we get another chance to breathe and get it right.

Terrible thing, re Haiti. Prayers up for those folks.

Here is a great way to see earthquake activity.

Go here http://www.wolton.net/quake.html

Download the program (takes 2 seconds) , unzip it, and run it.

EARTHQUAKE ACTIVITY in 3D , with all kinds of controls, updated instantaneously. It is pretty awesome, and it’s free.
