Not too surprised or disappointed. This is the person who gave her the big break into national politics. Don’t care for it, but this is how politics works.

Come on...that’s like saying since she “owes him” she should also help him push his political agenda...since that also returns a favor.

I can understand helping a moderate in the northeast...but in ARIZONA?!?!?!

Palin is a Republican, and she will run as a Republican if she runs. She will need the support of the GOP if she has any realistic chance of winning. I do not like McCain anymore than the rest of you, but she does not have any good options in this matter.

The central issue with McCain is his Amnesty Death Wish.

It is also going to be the next big push from Obama, whose team wants those illegal alien votes for 2012 and beyond. If Palin follows this geezer over the cliff into amnesty land, she is as big a fool as her detractors say.

If this report is true, she has destroyed her credibility with a large part of her "base." Includes me.

What type of person would she be if now she threw McCain under the bus? Has McCain changed? Those of you mad that she would stump for McCain should already be mad since she agreed to be his running mate.

Exactly. McCain is still the same McCain she ran with. Nothing has changed..so if people are mad at her not for endorsing him and campaigning for him they should also be upset that she ran with him to begin with. She didn’t pick McCain to be the Republican nominee, the GOP did, people voted for him. That’s not her fault. McCain treated her like crap, but she won’t do the same to him because that is the classy thing to do. Do I like her supporting McCain, HELL NO! But people have to get a grip and give her a break, now if she were supporting Crist, different story, but McCain, man, I knew she was supporting him from the beginning, DUH, he was her running mate.

McCain didn’t giv eher squat. She wasn’t even at the top of his list...he used her in a failed attempt to energize the base and now he’s using her to do the same thing in Arizona.

I just say wait and see. So many times people have claimed that Sarah was going here or there or wherever. My guess is John boy won’t want her there. She outshines him completely

“she makes mistakes. She is not perfect. No one is a savior but God himself. Don’t put people on pedestals, no one is perfect”

Exactly my point, which you missed.

And mistakes? Supporting the GOP established Rino, McCain, is not a MISTAKE, it’s a belief system. The ‘mistake’ would have been ever liking the old fool...now she’s campaigning for him????

“Come on...that’s like saying since she “owes him” she should also help him push his political agenda...since that also returns a favor.”

I’m not arguing with you...I think she is capable of supporting him as a person and not his agenda...she really is that smart...this is tough...I’m talking about who she is not what she does...and I don’t think she will put him over the top, anyway, but like I said at the beginning, I am sorry this came up, but it was inevitable...

Yes, it’s on her Facebook page.

Ride the Tide with Commonsense Candidates!

I want to again thank the good people of Massachusetts for propelling a commonsense, independent agenda forward! May the working man and woman feel empowered now more than ever to get involved in their government, and let’s put this great country on the right track.

The past year continues to offer the promise of commonsense government in so many areas. There are steps we can all take to get there, one of which is to support candidates who promise to fight for the people and against politics as usual. I’m excited to get out and help elect candidates who will bring those principles to our nation’s towns, state houses, and directly to Washington D.C. We are already making plans to support the candidates our nation needs to make a difference and speak for everyday Americans.

I look forward to helping Governors like Rick Perry in Texas, Representatives like Michele Bachmann in Minnesota, and heroes and statesmen like Senator John McCain. We will support these candidates and others so that they can continue to fight for our American values.

The special election yesterday in Massachusetts was truly amazing. It is a clear indication of things to come and a demonstration of the momentum we all share in the fight for the values and policies that will get our country back to work. The commonsense conservative principles of liberty and fiscal responsibility are on the rise, and that’s why I’m going out and campaigning as hard as I can to make a difference. I can’t wait to join all of you in supporting these great candidates and many more over the coming months.

In the meantime, visit the websites of Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and John McCain. And join us as we embark on America’s journey to November!

- Sarah Palin

I said this would happen and the outcome, if this thread is any indicator, is predictable. One can only laugh at this fickleness.

“She’s stuck between a rock and a hard place.”

Nonsense. She’s exactly where she has chosen to be.
Where the hell is that ‘maverick’ spirit she keeps claiming to have?? Maverick only when it’s a John McCain maverick?

You mean, like supporting someone even when you know you will catch hell for it?

It failed because we were not—at least most conservatives I knew—energized to support McCain...we were energized for Palin. In the long run...the lack of enthusiasm for the man at the top of the ticket was one of the things that led to an Obambi election

Sarah: PLEASE rethink this idea.

Many Republicans are still seething at how McCain ran his campaign on top of how he has sided with Democrats over the years in Congress.

Since his entire campaign staff also under cut you at every opportunity——please rethink this.

Help Arizona find a true conservative candidate, instead.

You take the good with the bad. Maybe his internal polls show him winning in Arizona who knows. She ran with him and he’s unfortunately the same guy that she ran with so why are people shocked. Perhaps if the GOP had picked a REAL Conservative candidate to run for President we wouldn’t be in this position today, but what can ya do. It is what it is. She ran with him and now she will campaign for him. I’d love to see the poll numbers for Arizona, if people there are still supporting McCain they have no one to blame but themselves, Sarah will have nothing to do with it

“The central issue with McCain is his Amnesty Death Wish.”

Yes.

There seems to be some hope for Scott Brown on this issue. Time will tell. I’m not crazy about this statement, because he is WRONG....”I recognize that our strength as a nation is built on the immigrant experience in America”

The pro-enforcement, anti-amnesty Senatorial candidate, Scott Brown (R-Mass.), has defeated Martha Coakley for the seat left vacant by the passing of Edward Kennedy. Brown has taken a strong stance on immigration enforcement and puts the Administration’s hopes for a mass amnesty at risk.

Brown has stated on his campaign website that the nation needs to better secure its borders and use a national workplace verification system to ensure that jobs go to American workers. He also opposes rewards to illegal aliens like driver’s licenses and in-state tuition.

According to Brown’s campaign website...

I recognize that our strength as a nation is built on the immigrant experience in America. I welcome legal immigration to this country. However, we are also a nation of laws and government should not adopt policies that encourage illegal immigration. Providing driver’s licenses and in-state tuition to illegal immigrant families will act as a magnet in drawing more people here in violation of the law and it will impose new costs on taxpayers. I oppose amnesty, and I believe we ought to strengthen our border enforcement and institute an employment verification system with penalties for companies that hire illegal immigrants.
