Director of National Intelligence Dennis Blair on Wednesday said he should not have given in to pressure to reduce the passenger no-fly list before the attempted Christmas Day bombing of Northwest Airlines Flight 253.
“The pressure on the no-fly list was to make them smaller … shame on us for giving in to that pressure,” Blair told the Senate Homeland Security Committee during a Wednesday hearing.
“What is prudent is to put names on just in case and take them off when it’s justified,” he said. “The pressure [before the attempted bombing] was in the other direction. I should not have given in to that pressure.”

Islamic
Attended college in U.K.
Held very high office in Muslim Assoc. at College.

So about 500,000 people get on a list and a small number have to be vetted WHEN AND IF they make reservations to get on a plane.

If they get discommoded unfairly, then maybe they’d take the message back to their radical bretheren that being a member of world civilization is a privilege.

If water boarding and putting caterpillars in a box with a terrorist are considered torture and prohibited what are they going to do to get intel anyway? Keeping terrorists out of the public court system is good but I don’t see how they’re going to get any info.

You also will remember that a lot of leftists were on no fly lists. Did Obama insist on a reduction of the list? Then there was Obama’s apologetic tone to the world for America exercisinng its sovereignty under Bush.

My bet is Obama.He wanted his leftist buddies to be able tio fly to the USA. Obama also changed the rule barring people infected with aids from getting a US visa.

We need to find out for sure. Why is it a secret? Where is the transparency? Why is everything decided behind closed doors? Bush was more transparent than this collection of parasites we have in the White House!
0baMao kept rendition so he can always get the Egyptians to question detainees. Or somewhere else on foreign soil. But if it ever gets out that “harsh” interrogation methods were used on American soil by American operatives he is toast. He boxed himself in tight on that.
