Jaber A. Elbaneh is wanted in connection with a federal criminal complaint unsealed on May 21, 2003, in the Western District of New York, Buffalo, New York. He is charged with providing material support to a terrorist organization and conspiring to provide material support, specifically to Al-Qaeda.
Elbaneh is believed to have fled the United States and is still thought to be outside the country.
REWARD
The Rewards For Justice Program, United States Department of State, is offering a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to the arrest of Jaber A. Elbaneh.
I don’t understand the headline,...was the list of most wanted in Yemen...or was he captured in Yemen?

The FBI description says he is a citizen of Yemen.
The only problem with this story is the word “captured”.

He is a US citizen - naturalized - And I have no idea why the FBI desription says that. He may be a dual citizen as well...don’t know.

U.S. Attorney Kathleen M. Mehltretter told the Buffalo News that Jaber Elbaneh is being held and has asked for a lawyer to defend him against charges he’s faced in western New York since 2002.

SNIPPET: “U.S. Attorney Kathleen Mehltretter told the Buffalo News she would like to try Jaber Elbaneh in New York State. But Yemen has no extradition treaty with the United States.
Elbaneh, 43, of Lackawanna allegedly recruited the group known as the Lackawanna Six. Investigators believe he was in Yemen when they were arrested.”
