China: Hillary Clinton's attack on web freedom 'harmful' to relations with US

China has warned Hillary Clinton that continued US criticism of its internet censorship policies could be 'harmful' to relations between the two powers.

The statement by China's foreign ministry came hours after Hillary Clinton, the US secretary of State attacked the censorship policies of countries like China and Iran, warning darkly that a new "information curtain" was now descending across much of the world.

China reacted angrily to the US rebuke which came ten days after Google, the US internet giant, said it could no longer bear to operate under China's draconian censorship laws and threatened to pull the plug on its Chinese search engine.

"The US has criticised China's policies to administer the internet and insinuated that China restricts Internet freedom," said a statement on the foreign ministry website. "This runs contrary to the facts and is harmful to China-U.S. relations.

"We urge the United States to respect the facts and cease using so-called Internet freedom to make groundless accusations against China," it added.

China has sought to play down the dispute with Google, however the Obama administration has used the row to highlight a fundamental clash in values between China and the free world that relies, socially and commercially, on unrestricted flows of information.

Ever since China ruined Copenhagen climate deal, things are going downhill between globalists and chicom.

China has its own vision of NWO: China on top and everybody else way below. Not exactly the kind of NWO the Western globalists are hoping for.

The U.S. will shut up in general. They’re on the rise, we’re on the decline. Sometime in the future, they’ll just start taking what they want. But hey, stuff at Wal-Mart is cheap, so I guess it’s a good tradeoff.

Definitely! The chinese know very well that no “western” politician would seriously dare to annoy them. Free speech, Human rights... The “west” loves to preach this values around the globe. But when it comes to China it doesn´t seem to be very “important” anymore. I´m shure the chicoms
having a good laugh every time after they have met a “western” politician. i mean “we” love to condem and boycott little countries for exactly the same thing but
when it comes to China...

Google will face with stark future in China as it has become a political tool of the White House.

It’s not a wise act for a commercial company to THREATEN China.

With China holding a massive amount of our debt, this could turn out to be the dumbest thing yet from Obumble.

China has made overtures that they want to dump the dollar this could give them the excuse.
