Gay rights supporters in California say they have found an unlikely ally in Cindy McCain, the wife of Republican Sen. John McCain of Arizona, who lent her name this week to the cause of same-sex marriage.
McCain’s support comes as Proposition 8 proponents and opponents battle over the constitutionality of California’s ban on gay marriage in San Francisco federal court. The ad features McCain, right hand over her heart, wind rustling her blond locks, with “No H8” written on her cheek and silver duct tape over her mouth.
“To have the wife of a Republican presidential candidate really turns everything upside down,” said John Henning, executive director of pro-gay marriage group Love Honor Cherish. “People expect conservatives to be against same-sex marriage, and more and more conservatives are saying that they favor it.”

I wonder how long it will take Juan to endorse the homosexual agenda now this his wife and daughter have done so.
Hey Arizona. Are you listning? Get rid of McInsane.
.....is anyone in her family a conservative?
We're trying.
Pass the message along to Sarah Palin.
Cindy will be doing the country a favor if this stupidy helps scuttle McVain in the primary.
McCain, it’s just synonymous with Conservatism isn’t it. NOT!
You just have to KNOW McCain probably agrees with his wife and daughter, but he’s not an idiot. Say what you will about him, but he got elected and knows how to hold onto his office.
There’s no doubt in my mind that McCain secretly despises social conservatives, probably more than he dislikes the left. Can I prove it? No. But I don’t see McCain rushing to separate his views from those of his wife and daughter.
Cindy is falling for the Alice-in-Wonderland society that the Progressives are trying to impose on our children...that evil is good and good is evil.
This behavior that she endorses goes against Natural Law, is destructive to societies, denies children their biological rights, mocks major religion and the freedom to practice that religion, and encourages mental and physical abuse of children.
I always thought that McCain was mentally unstable and not very bright and having a wife like Cindy proves his incapacity to make intelligent, virtuous, moral choices.
The definition of mental illness is "doing the SAME THING over and over, and expecting different results!"
That’s the problem. McCain talks a good game when the campaign is in front of him, but after the heat of the campaign is gone, he’s out bad-mouthing Conservatives and putting on his best, NYTimes lovin’ maverick ways. There’s a reason they call it “McCain-Feingold”.
Hey Sarah, are you going stump for McCain now? Are you going to stand on the SAME platform with McLame’s wife and daughter as they spout off their support for GAY marriage??????
You are being USED Sarah!! Back out now when there is still time!
In her day Cindy was a real looker, but even so, that picture of her speaks more to the airbrushing talents of the person using Photoshop than it does to the current resemblence of Cindy McCain.
Back off let the election take form, instead of infighting like kids.
My prediction, McCain will be reelected, join the other side as an Independent siting Right Wing hatred from the Conservatives. Then the beloved maverick will be loved by the Left again.
Think about it.
If Cindy McCain really was behind this issue, you’d think she’d get the NOH8 logo TATTOED instead of having it photoshopped (and yes I know yours is the parody).
Walk the walk. This is just theater from someone who bum rushed the stage of public personality. It was her husband’s name on the ballot.
While you guys chew finger nails on how others live their lives the country is going bankrupt.
Gay marriage is about the last on the list of things we need to worry about now.
Lets put our priorties in order and take steps to reign in this mafia organization called the US Government.
Lets balance the budget cut out waste, get balanced budget amendment, flat tax.
If we make the same mistake we make in 2006 and 2010 by not getting out the vote because of social issues that don’t belong in politics then you better get used to Obama because he is going to be around for 8 years.
John
It’s not just a social issue. A big part of it is using gay marriage to force employers to pay for health coverage for all their employees’ lovers.
