I just received an email from a friend regarding something new on the 2009 Federal IRS Tax Return requiring all gun owners to disclose all firearms they own. It claimed that this was verified by Snopes.
The email claims it was snuck in under a list of minor regulatory changes to the IRS laws and signed off without being read by the Congress Critters.
According to the email, all gun owners would need to pay a registration fee of $50 per firearm and also would require that the owners be fingerprinted.
It seems far-fetched, but I wouldn't put it past the pResident. Has anyone else received it?

Jesus.
If you get a scary email, it’s *always* a hoax.
Always.
sold all my guns to a black dude with gold teef in the park last year,
didn’t get a name, sorry.
You think that’s bad, there’s a new tax on air-to-air missiles and antitank guns, too. I durn near had to get a second mortgage on the bunker to pay for the one on landmines. I guess I got options, but do you realize how hard it is to rob a liquor store with a landmine? I mean, I tried “stick ‘em up, everybody, or I’m gonna step on this thing!” but the guy behind the counter only said “Go ahead. I’m a Democrat. The week couldn’t possibly get worse.”
Dang...at least you got something for yours...I lost all of mine when the boat tipped over last year...
Who is giving these commie pukes running our country these ideas?
“You might want to actually look it up on Snopes before saying it was verified.

Snopes is run by a left-wing couple...which makes me think that there is some merit to the rumor. Snopes still hasn’t explained the death of Barbara Wise (deputy of Ronald Brown who just happened to drop dead half-clothed in her DC office).
GUNs are Icky!
If there were such a question, I suspect a lot of people would lie about it. An awful lot; as in everybody!
But FWIW, I checked to make sure Massachusetts didn’t try to slip such an abomination into their tax forms this year. No such animal, though they do ask an awful lot of questions about my health insurance.
BBWWWAAAHHHAAAHAHAHAHAA!!!!
I filed mine and this was not on it.
LOL!
That’s something my smart-ass brothers would say...
Horribly tragic boating accident...
Isn’t snopes that site that got caught fabricating their own emails and political rumours so they could up their traffic busting their own BS back in 2005?
I didn’t know they were even still around- evolution, my ass!
none
You are too late to join in...the body has already been fought over by the jackals.
