Despite days trapped under rubble in searing heat, rescue teams are still pulling people out alive from beneath the concrete of Port-au-Prince.

An Israeli relief team managed to bring out a 22-year-old man suffering from dehydration.

Earlier an 84-year-old woman was saved from certain death after being retrieved from a wrecked building.

According to last nights news, neither one is expected to live, but then their was probably scant hope of finding someone alive in the rubble after so much time had passed.

It said they were both stable, altho I cannot imagine that poor old woman surviving. And for what? Where are these people going to go when they are better? What a hopeless mess...it makes me so sick to see such poverty.

...as the Savior said, the poor shall always be with us. It is up to us not to question why for there are multiple reasons, especially in Haiti but to aid and come up with solutions, not necessarily money or unlimited immigration into this country.
