"We the corporations" On January 21, 2010, with its ruling in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission, the Supreme Court ruled that corporations are persons, entitled by the U.S. Constitution to buy elections and run our government. Human beings are people; corporations are legal fictions. The Supreme Court is misguided in principle, and wrong on the law. In a democracy, the people rule. We Move to Amend. We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's ruling in Citizens United, and move to amend our Constitution to:
* Firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights. * Guarantee the right to vote and to participate, and to have our votes and participation count. * Protect local communities, their economies, and democracies against illegitimate "preemption" actions by global, national, and state governments.
Sign the Motion Signed by 39,074 and counting .

Oh, the irony. I wonder if George Soros has signed this? And does anyone know a Harvard Law professor speaker who can explain to these people the difference between a 'democracy' and a 'republic'??

Liberals want to amend the Constitution to give the government the power to ban speech they don't like. It will go nowhere.

Corporations are run by human beings. Not all them are profit. In a supreme irony, liberals want to ban NOW and MoveOn from donating to candidates because they think all corporations exist to make a profit. They'd gag themselves because they hate the capitalist system that has made America the most prosperous country on earth. Fortunately, its extremely difficult to amend the Constitution on a whim.

“Democracy” is being touted because it is so easy to steer and exploit. They hate the limits represented by the Constitution. A large group of people will vote themselves right into slavery given the proper manipulation.

They want to amend a document they know nothing about. If they did, they would know that amendments do not result from petitions; they are Congressional actions. And without the two-thirds majorities in both Houses needed to pass an Amendment this is an exercise in futility.

Either that or three fourths of the states can petition Congress to call a constitutional convention to amend the Constitution. Both are very time-consuming. Liberals insult people's intelligence by arguing people are too stupid to decide if a political argument advocated by a corporation has any merit; the government must be made to prevent them from hearing that argument. What kind of logic is it? Its certainly not the logic of democracy.

There is a bunch using the Tea Party name and working for a constitutional convention. They are either foolish and naieve or up to something underhanded.
The Constitution is vital, it must be protected and obeyed..

we are litterally slaves to the taxation/ federal reserve and personal debt system
the taxation/ federal reserve and personal debt system owns the big corporations
the taxation/ federal reserve, personal debt system, and big corporations own the political system
the taxation/ federal reserve, personal debt system, and big corporations that own the political system own all of us, as their slaves

The socialist/communist axis in this country enjoyed a monopoly on the selection, spin, and dissemination of the daily news for decades. Up until the early ‘90s the “big three” networks and the New York Times were the primary sources for everything Americans new about politics and current events. Not anymore!
The leftists have been frothing at the mouth during the past 15 years or so as they have watched their monopoly disappear with the rise of talk radio, fair-and-balanced cable news, and the internet. In their despair they have floated such things as “the fairness doctrine”, “campaign finance reform”, and have now sunk so low that they even cry like babies over a Supreme Court ruling that upholds the First Amendment!
Things are looking better for decent, taxpaying, traditional American families.

Since corporations have no natural rights, the question whether corporations should be granted the privilege of political free speech isn't a legal/constitutional question, it's a political question.

If you enjoyed Glenn Beck's History on the Commie Democide, Leftist Tyrants murdering their own Citizens, last Friday, read up on Robt LaFollette as well as the Joe McCarthy anti-Commie connection! Also check out that website...full blown SOROS/Progs, the speech quoted on the site's front page by the raging Progressive/Communist Bob LaFollette is from 1897. Tailgunner Joe McCarthy defeated LaFollette's son for his US Seante seat in the late 1940s. The Progressive Movement has been a cancer in the USA for a long time. http://conservapedia.com/Joseph_McCarthy

Jeff Jacoby nailed it in the Boston Globe on Monday morning:
Corporations that deal in communications (newspapers, TV stations, publishers, etc.) are free to spend as much as they want making political statements and bashing Repub ... errr ... candidates for office.
But now, thanks to the Supreme Court decision, ALL corporations are free to make political statements, if they so desire. Sounds fair to me. I didn’t know why Obambi was so furious about the decision, but now I get it.
Voters just need to practice their “caveat emptor” a little more thoughtfully. No problem.
