“One thing to consider ... the first contract with America was a mirage.”

That may be, but I think the need that this fills is the constant drone of Rep being the Party of no, with no plan of their own. If you compare this list with the Libbies, even the dumbest bick in the walk will see the difference...and I think the people who stopped the Kennedy Seat Coronation will like what they see here...and I see nothing a conservative can object to on merit...practice may be another thing, but I think it is a good start...I woud like to see us gather strength in the battle of ideas and we currently have nothing that is manifest.

IMHO a contract will defocus the issues.

Contracts sounds good on paper and don't work. Big problem is nobody reads them.

Things like this will work -—
How about cut the crazy out of control deficit spending

Really reform health care, lower costs and increase quality, with junk lawyer reform and allowing people to buy insurance from anybody.

and shrink government — Reagan's “government is the problem, not the solution type stuff.

and drill baby drill ...

sign board style things.

We used “repeal the AW ban”. Which BTW didn't happen and we were told by Newt to sit down be quiet, wait. Then Bush said he was thinking of renewing the ban ... then with AMNESTY, I realized Bush was one of them progressives.
