As other Freepers and myself have pointed out — Islam attracts such confused people, Islam’s teachings CREATE such confused people.
And ‘tolerance’ and quick excuses such as you provide are the common coin and doctrine in Islam too, so that Islam comes to tolerate those who develop and indoctrinate in the teachings of murderous rage, envy and jealousy.
That this crazy and murdering man had converted to Islam, prior to his murderous rampage, is an inseparable element of the crime.
It appears you are Hell bent to blame the religion of decapitation for this, and I must agree that I would rather take the easy way, and do the same as you are, but I don’t believe it’s the truth. The truth is what we seek.
The guy was nuts to convert to the religion of pieces, and he was nuts to murder, and he was nuts to decapitate his Niece. He was nuts to be running around naked, he was nuts to try robbing a home, but he hasn’t so far been reported as screaming “Allah Akhbar”, and he didn’t blow himself up.
The many stories over the years about the nut Christians murdering in the name of GOD, or the nut cultists in Africa, Haiti, South America, Chicago, and other areas of the World murdering in the name of their cult belief don’t mean they too were secretly harboring Islamic, Koranic prejudices, and wackoism’s.
More than likely his family past, and present deserve some of the credit for turning their backs on obvious signs of instability projected earlier in the course of this disturbed life form. It’s difficult to believe this guy could not have shown signs of irrationality above and beyond converting to Islam prior to this action.
Projection is a clue. I noticed in the article family members saying there weren’t any signs prior to this that he could have done such a thing, but such readily offered insights often mean they are projecting to cover their butts. They knew.
I think I am not so ‘quick’ to make excuses that I cannot pause to consider these instances on a case by case basis.
I consider Hasan’s murderous rampage the result of his commitment to Islam.
I consider this man’s murderous rage a result of his own issues and if he isn’t legally insane then he is ‘mere’ evil and if he is legally insane then it explains why a man would kill his own little niece and cut off her head with a machete. I think he is using the ROP (Religion of Peace) whose extremists have already committed more murderous evil than I can comprehend, to justify his own vile desire to kill, kill, kill.
You don’t have to be Muslim to commit murder, even heinous familial slaughter. We’ve experienced plenty of murderous rampages in our own country among persons of various backgrounds and faiths - I need not ‘resort’ to assuming if a man kills his family he must be Muslim.
The Muslim friends I have had have not possessed the desire to offend anyone, let alone kill them.
The fact that he converted to Islam prior to the murders is not separable from the crime but it need not be causal. In this case, I don’t think it is.
