CHALMETTE, La. (AP) - Three men suspected of trying to tamper with phones at Louisiana Sen. Mary Landrieu's office have been released from a suburban New Orleans jail.

Among them was James O'Keefe, a conservative activist who posed as a pimp to target the community-organizing group ACORN. O'Keefe said "veritas," the Latin word for truth, as he left the jail with suspects Stan Dai and Joseph Basel, both 24.

They declined comment, and Dai said there will be a time for that

Just idle speculation here, but the arrests did not come until after all suspects had left the office.

Now could it be possible that they were removing, not installing, a device?

This device might now be long gone.

Or, maybe Mary has something these guys got a whiff of and really doesn’t want to prosecute them.

Does whistleblower protection cover potential criminal acts which uncover corruption?

Did someone post bond? Or were they just released?

Well, so far they’ve done more jail time than any of the Democrat tax cheats.

For a group that had to expose Acorn on YouTube, these guys are sure getting some serious mainstream press this time around!

That may be true. Sadly, if I were a conservative doing investigative work and suspected of wrong-doing, New Orleans is one of the last places I would want to be caught...innocent or not. Some reports on this case are already describing this as an attempted wire/phone tapping caper. Somebody needs to keep a close eye on them to make sure they are not railroaded.

This is what I suspect. I also have a feeling that the Flanaghan kid is a mole. If this is so, and they have the tape, god help the Democrat party.

BECAUSE THE TAPE WILL NOT.

This is where this story gets interesting because no one says that if they don't have the goods. As I said when this thing first went down, he has something very bad on these guys and they are scared to death. Remember "veritas" is the opposite of the lying leftist who control the media, Congress and the White House right now. A bombshell will be coming out in October right before the elections.

At 9:36 p.m. EST, O'Keefe tweeted:

I am a journalist. The truth shall set me free.
