The blame Bush strategy flamed out in Massachusetts so theyre moving on to an even more substantive Plan B.
Given the pressure Republican candidates feel from the extreme right in their party, there is a critical yet time-sensitive opportunity for Democratic candidates, a DSCC memo, obtained by CNN, states. We have a finite window when Republicans candidates will feel susceptible to the extremists in their party. Given the urgent nature of this dynamic, we suggest an aggressive effort to get your opponents on the record.
Specifically, the DSCC wants Democratic candidates to pin down their likely opponents on several hot-button issues, including:
- Do you believe that Barack Obama is a U.S.citizen?
- Do you think the Tenth Amendment bars Congress from issuing regulations like minimum healthcare coverage standards?
- Do you think programs like Social Security and Medicare represent socialism, and should never have been created in the first place?
- Do you think President Obama is a socialist?
- Do you think America should return to a gold standard?

Bring. It. On.
BTTT
I know where I was born.
And, I can prove it.
Watch out for the law of unintended consequence Dims it’s been very good lately at biting you guys in the rear end.
On another note on the same subject, Karl Rove says this a desperate move for the desperate.
Brilliant strategy. Wave it (”birtherism”) like a flag until people who had not been interested in it before start asking questions. I can’t believe these morons have total control of our government and our country. They’re all braindead. It does help explain why our economy is in the toilet though.
Will you sign a pledge not to raise taxes?
Will you sign a pledge to resign if you have unpaid taxes?
Will you sign a pledge to cut spending where ever you can?
Which unnecessary Federal departments will you pledge to cut?
Do individual citizens have a right to own semi-automatic rifles, even if they're painted black?
Will you vote to allow the development of our own abundant natural resources so that we can end our dependency on foreign oil?
Lather, rinse, repeat.
I’m sure BO/BS will just love to talk about his ineligibility after spending $2 million on a team of lawyers to prevent any documentation from becoming public.
Bring it on!
And by the way, where’s the birth certificate?
It's not like Republicans can't prepare answers that sound good, and make them look like adults.
One of the really stupid strategies in life is putting ideas like these in writing.
The problem is these are all yes or no questions. Politicians NEVER answer yes or no.
What I’d like to hear is, “Do you believe Obama is a natural born citizen?” Answer: “No!”
Uh...what? Are these people entirely sane?
The election will be about the Dems and their courses of action during their period of majority in American politics. Their hopefully brief period. If they really hope to change the topic to the Cross of Gold, I feel sorry for them. William Jennings Bryan has been dead for a long time.
Deliberate misrepresentation of the real eligibility issue.
An attempt to marginalize people who know what socialism is and reject it... And people who know what the constitution is a embrace it.
In other words the message is socialism is good, constitutionis bad.
Yuck!
BTW... Hegemony Cricket for RNC Chair!!!
BTW... Hegemony Cricket for RNC Chair!!!
Darn right.
Probably 70% of voting Americans are not aware of Obama's birth certificate issue.
Dems are bringing it to light.
I agree completely.
All of those questions are insightful, legal, and reasonable. These are issues on the mind of a significant percentage of everyday Americans. They are hardly indicative of “the extreme” of the party.
Just like Mass, they are blinded by arrogance and ideology. They would bury themselves with this as a strategy.
Dems are so stupid. It is really amazing.
