While it's very much unclear what, in fact, O'Keefe and his crew did here, one thing is clear - the crowd running Louisiana's Democrat Party aren't the sharpest tools in the shed.

O’Keefe was a nitwit. The Democrats, not to mention ACORN, are going to play this for all it’s worth. His motives won’t mean anything.

It doesn't take many brains to make political hay out of such a stupid stunt, no matter how innocent the "boys" may be.

If things are as they appear and these fellows were attempting to bug the office of a US Senator, they should be thrown in the pen. There are only about a million charges they could (and should) be facing. And the fact that oneâs father is a US Attorney only makes it worse. If the shoe were on the other foot, imagine the justifiable outrage that would ensue.

"This is a Louisiana Watergate"
So let me get this straight. O'Keefe had connections from the OBAMA Whitehouse to bug Landrieu's office?
I'm a little slow on the uptake here. Could a liberal enlighten us all (I pray for the shining light of omniscience)

O’Keefe is not a fool, I’m interested to see how this plays out.
also, the game.

O’Keefe had a listening device on himself. This we know because it was reported that there was a car two blocks away where people listening were arrested. No problem with that, Nothing criminal there IMO
If associates also came in with bugging equipment and then attempted to plant that in a Federal office phone, then O’keefe could find himself in a Federal prison bending over to get the soap for up to ten years.

My guess is that O’Keefe and his associates were not planning to do anything at all to the phone system. They were probably posing as repairmen in order to be able to converse with Senator Landrieu’s employees without arousing suspicion. They probably planned to record those conversations, as was done with Acorn.
