This is a really toxic issue. The Obungler is only going to do this to appease the homosexual activists, but it's going to backfire on him.
Reverse isn't the right word. To reverse it would be go back to a zero tolerance policy towards homosexuals. If Obama asks for anything, it's going to be to allow flagrant gays to serve openly in the military.
Obama's going to go for "Don't ask, flount it".
I hope so. I hope the nation has not sunk so low that Obama's constant agitation for special gay rights isn't going to strike some nerves. And not just conservative nerves. It ought to hit the Christian Democrat nerves as well. Even much of the African American base would abandon him, if the MSM would only report on the kind of guy Obama put in charge of school safety.
"Few" is right. I read on another thread that about 10,500 gays have been asked to leave the military since 1996. 10,500 out of how many millions have been in the military since 1996?
As a 23 year veteran of the military this will not end well.It might be ok with some of the officers but, the enlisted especially the NCOs will and have never accepted any of this. Good luck with trying to get the enlisted buy in.
