Open borders advocate Juan Hernandez has joined the McCain campaign [history lesson]
HotAir.com ^ | 25 January 2008 | "Bryan"

John McCain says that he has heard the American people and now understands that we need to secure the border before enacting any “comprehensive” immigration reform. But John McCain has also said that he hasn’t changed his position. He supported amnesty in 2003 by name, proposed it in 2006 and 2007 without calling it amnesty, and says that anyone who says that he ever supported amnesty is a liar. He has insulted Americans who advocate border security and has cursed at the thought of building a border fence. Which of all of these is the real John McCain? The presence of Juan Hernandez in the background of the McCain campaign tells me that John McCain is as weak on border security now as he ever was.

Old school Hot Air readers might remember Dr. Juan Hernandez. He’s a dual citizen of the US and Mexico, was a member of Vicente Fox’s government, and is as open borders as you can get. In December 2006, Michelle hosted the Factor and the producers decided to see what it would be like to put her and Hernandez on the show together. “Chummy” does not describe the atmosphere....

McCain's continued push for amnesty is a good enough reason to toss him out on his can and replace him with Hayworth!

Crap, I wish I were running against McCain.

People of Arizona, I will be a Senator of the United States of America for Arizona. I will represent all Americans born and all those here legally. Period. I will leave the illegals to McCain.

We all voted for Juan McCain/Palin. Juan is an aberration, a DC slickster, liar, RINO extraordinaire. We had no choice a vertical descent into the abyss vice a 45 degree slope slide into the abyss. Not much of a choice. I threw up in my mouth casting my vote. There was nothing else that could be done.

That Palin will campaign for him to continue his unmitigated disasters in the Senate physically sickens me.

The photo of his wife with duct tape on her mouth (a’la marxist Sheen) and the inked crap on her face to support queer marriage, accompanied by Meghan, was equally disturbing.

McCain, you need to go into a nursing home with your name attached to your sweater with a safety pin in case you wander off.

GO AWAY.

I remember, and I’ve always wondered, What if McCain had run WITHOUT the Amnesty and Gore-bal Warming garbage?

Just those two changes. (He still wouldn’t have been perfect!)

I bet he’d have squeaked by, even in an anti-Bush year with a very charismatic Dem opponent.

Just those two changes.

A couple forgotten quotes by SEn. John McCain:

Give everyone in the world an opportunity to come to America

“Those who live closest are the ones who can get here. Everyone in the world should have the opportunity through an orderly process to come to this country.”

Change rule barring immigrants from running for president?

Q: Should we change our Constitution to allow men like Mel Martinez, born in Cuba, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, born in Austria, to stand here some night as candidates for president?

McCAIN: He and I have many similar attributes, so I have to seriously consider it.
