Has Obama become bored with being president?

This is about the time Barack Obama becomes bored with his job.

He's in his second year as president, and he's discovered that even with all the powers of office, he can't do everything he wants to do, like remake America. Doing stuff is hard. In the past, prosaic work has held little appeal for Obama, and it's prompted him to think about moving on.

According to the book, the majority leader invited Obama to his office for a talk. "You're not going to go anyplace here," Reid told Obama. "I know that you don't like it, doing what you're doing." Reid suggested Obama run for president. Obama had been a senator for all of 18 months at the time.

As he became frustrated in each job, Obama concluded that the problem was not having the power to do the things he wanted to do. So he sought a more powerful position.

Today he is in the most powerful position in the world. Yet he has spent a year struggling, and failing, to enact far-reaching makeovers of the American economy. So now, even in the Oval Office, there are signs that the old dissatisfaction is creeping back in.

But throughout his life, his reaction to frustration has been to look for a bigger job. What does he do now?

In every position The One has had, from community organizer to state senator to US senator, he never accomplished anything of significance and concluded in each case because he didn't have enough power to make the changes he wants.

Do we need to call the Honduras Congress and Supreme Court and get their notes on how they kept Zelaya from becoming dictator-for-life?

Why, he’s the perfect post-modern president! Short attention span, giving up when things are difficult, afraid of responsibility, inflated ego, believing the world owes him something just because he exists, expecting to be entertained all the time, whining, petulance, cannot endure criticism, can’t grow up and face being an adult.... yep, that’s our prez!

I don’t think he is bored with being President. He is just frustrated that he’s not treated like an Emperor yet.

Love the thought of that being so, but then, why did the Dems give him all of those standing ovations at the SOTU address, if they're all plotting and scheming to depose him?

Were they driven by a pathological level of political correctness to do that, or what?

Given his position combined with his apparent lack of patience when he can’t assert his will, he could become irrational and dangerous. Thank God our founders put such a system in place where even with one party rule and a charismatic president, an agenda is extremely difficult to implement.

Perhaps he would be happier moving to another country where he could be a dictator and ‘president for life’?
