Reality & Obama’s Reality: In-Depth Analysis of the President’s First State of the Union Address

On January 27th, 2010 President Barack Obama delivered his first official State of the Union Address. The speech to me had both a campaign feel, and a Carter-esque “Malaise speech” feel to it. I will explain that later on. In watching Barack Obama’s speech, there was a certain feel to it. It was a very good speech …. But only if you live in a fool’s paradise.

In watching the speech, I thought that Barack Obama tried to re-ignite that almost “spiritual sensationalism” he inflicted in his most ardent supporters during the 2008 campaign....

State of the Union Addresses normally come and go. But this one is not going to go away so fast. Judging from this speech, there was a clear distinction between the reality of what has happened in the past year and what is, and the "reality" President Obama perceives it to be. And believe me... the two don't match! I guess the only thing to do now would be to let the truth speak for itself.

A good article . . . a little idiosyncratic (most of us would say, "I couldn't buy it," not "I couldn't purchase it") in word selection, which suggests that it was written by an immigrant rather that a native-born American - but sound analysis of the status quo (which is Latin for, "the fix we're in").

I’m hoping the actual reality that is easy to observe by simply observing one’s surroundings will prevail, but right now the power is in the hands of deluded people who create illusions, act on them, and in that, base their governing decsions on those illusions and delusions that they have convinced themselves is reality.

I also find it discouraging to note that people (especially among my generation) are so loyal to Obama, and so faithful to him, that they are also deluded into believing that he will faithfully and successfully fix everything just as he said he would.

I project that the true reality will continue to bear the “by-products” that Obama’s deluded “reality” is pushing on the country, and that we will be the ones who will have to clean it all up.

Like this broken promise?

The new Demonrat mantra! Woof, woof, let granny eat dog food...spoof on 'let them eat cake'.The articles also contain the new big fees to Tricare for Life the retired over 65 Military's secondary health ins)

obama's war on seniors See the links in post 43-46 and on the last page.

Expanding support for families balancing work with caring for elderly relatives with a $102.5 million Caregiver Initiative adding $52.5 million in funding to Department of Health and Human Services caregiver support programs that provide temporary respite care, counseling, training, and referrals to critical services. The administration says the extra funding will allow nearly 200,000 additional caregivers to be served and 3 million more hours of respite care to be provided. It also adds $50 million to programs that provide transportation help, adult day care, and in-home services, such as aides to help seniors bathe and cook, help which eases the burden for family members and helps seniors stay in their homes.

Even the commie rag Mother Jones is reporting the cut and gut to granny's SS/Medicare.

Thank you so much. It’s about time that the relality of all of this stuff is properly communicated, because too many times (and I see this all the time at work, and in public) the very policies they cheered on are coming to bite them in the end and when they do, they do not make the connection between government policy and what they are confroted with.

For example, inflation caused us to increase some of our prices where I work. Then, costomers complain that the prices are too high and then they begin to think that we are just being greedy by raising our prices. Then, a politician like Obama will come out and “seize the moment” by practically confirming that idea by incorporating that type of deception in their rhetoric. Then, people start believing it, and if they vote to re-elect them, then they end up worse off and prices get high again. I think we need to bring that stuff down earty and repetitiously keep telling the truth. If lies can be believed by constant repetition of them, then why can’t truth. At least with truth, people can feel and experience it. With lies, they cannot unless they accept what is being said at face value. If they accept what is being said at face value, then they will be disconnected from any reality, and when they are being questioned as to why they believe what they believe, their argument will fall apart, they will look foolish, and all they will have at their disposal is anger and embarassment.

Thanks again.
