My 04 Corolla has floor mats that do NOT move because they have holes near the bottom and it stays in place with hooks on the floorboard.

My car is not involved in the recall, but if I ever experience rapid acceleration (not caused by me) I would quickly put the car in neutral.

“OTOH we removed the mats long before we were TOLD they were a problem.”

The recall has nothing to do with floor mats, it’s a computer failure problem.
