Robert Mugabe closes in on last white farmers

One by one the last white farmers are being beaten into submission. Four more had their farms seized by marauding gangs last week.

“They do not want us whites,” one farmer said.

Finaughty, 43, will never forget how his world came crashing down. One moment at his Manda farm there was stillness. Then came a burst of noise and confusion. A screaming, drunken mob hammered at the gates.

Armed mobs encouraged by Robert Mugabe and his cronies forced Ray Finaughty and
his family off their land

It was the climax of a two-year eviction campaign against him. He had fought step by step in the courts. Their judgments in his favour were all ignored. With no respect for the rule of law in Zimbabwe, he finally lost the battle.

Armed with spears and sticks, a mob threatened him and his wife, Loraine, by driving a tractor against the gate of their home. “We’re going to kill you,” they said. The family were given 10 minutes to pack their life’s belongings.

It was not the first attack that Finaughty had weathered. In one savage beating his attackers suggested breaking his legs as he lay injured in a field. “Leave him. He’s dead,” he heard one of them say.

Finaughty crawled away and saved himself. He had four broken ribs and concussion.

Another time, acting in self-defence, he had to shoot dead an armed robber who broke into his farmhouse. The police were sympathetic and took no action. But they treated the seizure of his farm differently.

“This is political. It’s a hot potato. We can’t get involved,” said Vengisai, the chief inspector, when Finaughty contacted his office.

So the Finaughty family drove away from the farm they loved. Soon, they believe, much of the

It isn’t just the government oppression of the individual. State, federal, and local governments are in an all out war against the private sector that creates the standard of living most of us enjoy in this country. Increasing regulation, a broken tort legal system, taxes at every level, “free trade” policies, the dumbing down of the education system, a crumbling infrastructure, limited access to capital are all serving to choke the life out of small businesses and discourage potential new capitalists from starting businesses.

And Africa wins again.

A man like that should have a country to call home. Makes me wish that the US was that country, but we aren’t anymore. Maybe again someday.

Could you imagine the reaction of the racists in this country if whiteys fleeing persecution in Africa were given refugee status here?

And yes, I think it would be a good idea. These people, unlike almost all of the refugees we currently import, actually have some useful skills and I think they would fit right in on farms in the USA.

You mean it's not? That's what they teach in AZ schools. :-)

There’s more than one reason why Africa is referred to as the dark continent.

It just isn’t worth it when dealing with a country run by thugs.

Just curious - which country are you planning to emigrate to and when are you and your family planning to leave?

Buy tickets. Send your family *anywhere* else. Then burn and destroy everything on your farm and make your escape as possible.

New Zealand.

One of the most lefty places on earth. Suicide by p.c. just like the U.S. Not a very good choice IMO.

Dude, New Zealand ranks fourth in economic freedom as set by the Heritage Foundation. That’s four places ahead of the US. It’s just the Heritage Foundation’s opinion, I know, but they’re pretty good about these things.

I’ll miss guns and antibiotics, though.

Have you ever been there, “Dude?” I would suggest a visit. They were so over the top p.c. 20 yrs. ago, my husband and I found the population’s attitude unbearable. There’s a lot more to life than economic freedom which the US has and is certainly losing rapidly.

many of them are more than 4-5th generation

whites have been in Southern Africa since mid 1600s

imagine that....

and in EVERY African nation both Negroid and Arab/Berber, the euro-white population is shrinking markedly

Africa is reverting back to it's natural state prior to white colonizers in half a millennium or so

hope everyone is happy..it's The Great Trek all over again except leaving for good this time

I agree with you 100%. It's like a flippin' freight train barreling down the tracks picking up BS and Bolshevism as it goes...Lord, help us.

Perhaps those of us in the USA who believe in the importance and validity of the Second Amendment should pack up then, or those of us who believe in personal responsibility, or freedom of religion or any of the myriad of other freedoms under attack here in the USA. Yes, Zimbabwe is further down the road of totalitarianism, but does that mean it's time to give up?

Is Obama’s constant refrain of tax the rich any different?

Ding ding ding ding ding! We have a winner!! Seriously though, I have a friend who was born in South Africa, and when the situation became very dangerous, she applied for asylum in the US. Everything was going beautifully, UNTIL it was discovered that she was white! Her application was denied.
