Complete headline: Axelrod: 'Is the Republican Party Going to Take the Position That They Are Simply Going to Sit on the Sidelines and Hope That the President Fails and the Country Fails?'
(CNSNews.com) - In an interview with CNSNews.com after Wednesdays State of the Union Speech, Senior White House adviser David Axelrod asked: "Is the Republican Party going to take the position that they are simply going to sit on the sidelines and hope that the president fails and the country fails?"
Transcript: CNSNews.com: Given this past year and spending habits, do you believe that Barack Obama--well, Republicans have said that Barack Obama doesnt have the credibility to reduce the deficit. How would you counter that?
David Axelrod, senior adviser to the president: Well Id say a few things. First of all, as he mentioned tonight, the biggest run up in spending weve seen was in the last 8 years, under the last administration, in which item after item was undertaken--wars, tax cuts, a prescription drug program--without ever being paid for. We went from $5 trillion projected deficits for the next decade to $8 trillion of red ink projected over 10 years. So, I think if it becomes a battle of whos credible, the president acknowledged that we have to spend money because we didnt just inherit a fiscal crisis, we inherited an economic crisis and a financial crisis. And we had to deal with all three.
But Id say this on the subject of credibility: Yesterday there was a vote in the United States Senate. The president endorsed a fiscal commission to--a bipartisan effort--to deal with the deficit that had teeth. There were seven--the vote went down, 53 votes, we needed 60. Seven of the people who didnt vote for it, seven of the people that walked away, were Republicans, who actually were co-sponsors of the bill. And this is the core issue: Is the Republican Party going to take the position that they are simply going to sit on the sidelines and hope that the president fails and the country fails and that they will somehow benefit from this politically? Or are they going tog join with us in a bipartisan effort and deal with our problems. And thats what were waiting to see.
No A-hole they are going to take the position that they hope Obama fails so the country will succeed!!!!
Since when did Axleface become zer()’s mouthpiece. He can stuff it. America will be just fine because of the tsunami coming Nov 2010

obama's war on seniors See the links in post 43-46 and on the last page.
Expanding support for families balancing work with caring for elderly relatives with a $102.5 million Caregiver Initiative adding $52.5 million in funding to Department of Health and Human Services caregiver support programs that provide temporary respite care, counseling, training, and referrals to critical services. The administration says the extra funding will allow nearly 200,000 additional caregivers to be served and 3 million more hours of respite care to be provided. It also adds $50 million to programs that provide transportation help, adult day care, and in-home services, such as aides to help seniors bathe and cook, help which eases the burden for family members and helps seniors stay in their homes.
Even the commie rag Mother Jones is reporting the cut and gut to granny's SS/Medicare.

The question is, Is the Obama mis-administration going to continue to follow the failed path of the Soviet Union and China with regard to socialism.
Socialism is the failure. When socialism is properly seen as the failure, America wins and can return to free enterprise and a free citizenry.
They frame us as the party of NO. Like spoiled children, the leftists want their candy and expect the rest of us to pay for it.
I am sick of this bipartisan cr@p. Let them fail on their own and rightly fall on their own sword.
Reagan got remarkable things done with a democrat congress because the American people were in favor of his beliefs. Hussein has trouble because Americans oppose his fascist/Marxist plans. It’s just that simple, thankfully. As long as a few democrats actually want to be re-elected, Hussein will fail.
Huge difference.
Of course we want you to fail Adolph, that’s the only way the country can succeed.
Yeah alexcrap kiss my dingleberries
You keep harping on the need for Bi Partisanship. Ok, what is the President willing to give up in order to foster that spirit of compromise?
I want his plans to socialize our country to fail. So yes, I want him to fail. Only if he fails will our country succeed. What hubris to believe he and his ilk know better than our Founding Fathers and all the others who made this the great country that it is. His plans is to make us all equally miserable, except for him and his nomenkaltura, our designated Overlords.
Damn right.
FUDA. FUBO. FU Democrats, the enemies of freedom.
If Obama fails, America succeeds.
Put me on the side of America succeeded.
Another false choice put forth by the False Prophet for the false President.
they invited him. and he can’t resist a camera.
Axlerod is trying to paint the GOP here and try to redirect the blame and increasing public discontent for the economic troubles. Not to mention the foreign policy issues like blatently pushing the chicoms into a conflict over taiwan.
Doesn't seem like we have to hope for that anymore. zer0's presidency is already a failure.
Now we can only hope that he changes his approach and America can prosper.
But before relying on hope we ought to just minimize his influence as best we can and push him out the door ASAP.
Just want to go on record for Axleroid.
I want marxism to fail in America.
Damn shame Larry Sinclair wasn’t a biter.
