Saying the people of a country "choose" everything that happens to them is absurd. I didn't "choose" 0bama to be President. The students in Iran don't "choose" to be ruled by a tyranny, and many are dying for demonstrating against it. The people of Eastern Europe didn't "choose" to have Soviet tanks shoving communism down their throats. There are individuals with an entrepreunerial spirit in every country. Some don't have much of a chance.
Our forefathers did not “choose” to be ruled by King George. But they made the sacrifice in blood and treasure necessary to throw off tyranny. Some nations are not willing to pledge their lives to the cause of liberty. They want to be freed without putting themselves at risk. The result of acquiesce and lack of courage are predictable. People have to die for others to win freedom. If nobody is willing to pick up a gun and face the bullets coming the other way, then nothing changes.
The lack of action being taken for the cause of liberty in other places is not my problem. The USA has problems of its own!
