New York — Two-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards was so cavalier about his illicit relationship with a campaign staffer that he allowed her to make a videotape of a sexual encounter and never ensured it was destroyed, a former top aide said Monday.
In a one-on-one interview with WRAL News two days after the release of his tell-all book about Edwards' campaign and affair, Andrew Young said he thinks John and Elizabeth Edwards became so power-hungry that they lost their moral compasses as they chased a bid for the White House.

It probably shows that John was an inconsiderate lover. No shock there.
The other thoughts that came into my head had to do with the necessity of a telephoto lens, and the brevity of the entire show.
But thats just how I think.
The tape became less important as leverage after the mistress was pregnant. Edwards can’t be so stupid as to not know he was being reeled in.
By the time Edwards is done fixing his hair it is already the morning after.
The mere thought of seeing John Edwards in a “sexual encounter” is enough to make any sane person lose their lunch. Maybe that’s why he thought it was safe.

Who did the filming? Hunter? If so its just out and out blackmail. Edwards is the fool for not ensuring a lens

I was surprised at that statement, too. All liberals try to rationalize their behavior by claiming it is for the greater good. What they fail to admit is it's always their greater good.
