O'Keefe may end up having the last laugh. Nothing he did, from what I can gather, was actually against any law. The MSM, however, is trying to make it sound like he broke into Mary Landrieu's office and starting trying to bug her phones. That's why they're backtracking now, because he never intended to do that, nor did he have any equipment with him that would have enabled him to do it.

He and his crew were simply checking to see if the phones in Mary Landrieu's office were working, because she had claimed that she couldn't receive any calls that were negative about her votes, because her phones were 'jammed'. He was just checking to see if, in fact, her phones WERE working, and she was just lying to her constituents.
