Arizona Sen. John McCain's possible primary challenger is now official. Former congressman J.D. Hayworth -- voted out of office three years ago -- is making his political comeback in this year's Senate Republican primary, challenging McCain from the right. After filing official papers last week, Hayworth will formally announce his candidacy Feb. 15.

Good. It would be the best year ever if he beat Mccain and won the seat. The republican should win the seat anyway regardless. I just hope it is not McCrazy.

The Mods pulled the previous thread as "duplicate" even though it wasn't.

Then they put my posts under review for a bit.

NO CLUE WHY.

Anyways...

According to Politico, J.D.'s campaign is planning "special surprises" for McCain when J.D. officially declares his candidacy on Feb. 15. (Paperwork has already been filed.) In addition, jd2010.com is serving as a temporary placeholder for jdforsenate.com so that folks can make donations to J.D.'s campaign now.

While I am all for putting McCain out to pasture, I want to know more about Hayworth before I get excited about his candidacy. He was voted out of office once, why?

This needs to become a national effort. America will be well served by the retirement of McCain. Support Hayworth.

It is ok to get exited. He is a good man. He had a district change, ASU, Napalitono and The Arizona Republic against him. All extremely liberal.

Because the powers that be in DC and Arizona wanted "comprehensive immigration reform" i.e. amnesty and JD was very vocal in opposing it. They came up with some trumped up changes and, as soon as the elction was over they suddenly discovered there was no there there.

In other words, the Chamber of Commerce and other illegal enablers torpedoed him.

Add to that the fact that they restructured his district to include the very liberal ASU campus area and you can guess what happened.

Fair enough.

But couldn’t it at least have been moved back into News/Current Events instead of pulled outright?

You forgot to add that he got no support from the RINOs in charge of our national party.

Go J.D., Go!!

Obama adviser: Amnesty to ensure ‘progressive’ rule
‘Imagine 8 million new voters who care about our issues?’

Granting citizenship to millions of illegal immigrants would expand the “progressive” electorate and help ensure a “progressive” governing coalition for the long term, declared a recent adviser to President Obama whose union group is among the most frequent visitors to the White House.

“We reform the immigration laws, it puts 12 million people on the path to citizenship and eventually voters,” stated Eliseo Medina, international executive vice-president of Service Employees
International Union, or SEIU.

Medina was speaking at a June 2009 Washington conference for the liberal America’s Future Now!

Medina said that during the presidential election in November 2008, Latinos and immigrants “voted overwhelmingly for progressive candidates. Barack Obama got two out of every three voters that showed up.”

“Can you imagine if we have, even the same ratio, two out of three? Can you imagine 8 million new voters who care about our issues and will be voting? We will be creating a governing coalition for the long term, not just for an election cycle.”

See video of Medina’s remarks:
