I live in Crook County now and I felt like I was a criminal when I asked for a GOP ballot. I was sneared at by the election judge and she ended up screwing up the ballot by not initialing it.

Needless to say, I miss living DuPage County.

Yes, Free Republic is moving very slowly, if at all. And while DuPage Country doesn’t care if you ask for a GOP ballot, it took my husband and I ten full minutes to get through to vote, and we were the first in line (and voted earlier — different day!). We’ve got tooooooo many senior citizens running our polls. And when a youngster is there to help out, they just brush them aside like they are useless “kids” or something. Anyway, we got our two in for Adam and two for Patrick, so that’s all that counts in the end.

Some things never change...it’s why after fighting the politics there, is not missed after 40 years of voting
