I just came across this GPS study of Oregon from 2001. I thought you all would find it quite interesting.

http://ees2.geo.rpi.edu/rob/www/gps/g0026.html

I am still processing this information, but initially my thoughts would be that the Cascadia Subduction Zone would not be seriously in jeopardy right now. However further north in the Explorer Plate might well just be the obvious loser in this plate tectonic battle going on right now...lol

Subject to change but that is how I initially thought.

Least from those 2004 plots it looks like it’s still rotating clockwise, no?

nah, he was referring to the tsunami. He ran out of real crisis so that was the closest thing...lol!

AS for the volcano, it has enter into another quiet cycle. Each time it does, given the information we now have, it certainly runs the risk of de-capping.

Certainly true in other volcanic eruptions but more so true here. What happens is the warming sub-base is cooled by the melting glacier on top of it. When the active magma throat is in a period of ascent, the resulting quakes that are realized is nothing more than rocks and tiny faults giving way and cracking under the pressure of magmatic influences.

When this motion ebbs and retreats which is normal, the area that was heated is now cooled, and even supercooled here because of the glacier capping. This unlike other volcanoes that just have to deal with attitudinal temperatures and perhaps the white stuff, causes the cracks to seal tighter than normal. Truly providing the perfect air tight cover.

Leading to calamities not normally seen.

That is not to say though, that this just might have been the last of this present cycle and things will return to background. However I would argue that you can indeed discern a magma chamber that has been created on that 3-d model. If that is the case then one would suspect that the magma intrusion is an ongoing effort with plenty of forcing elements still in play.

my thoughts, until then though I want to keep researching the Pacific Northwest Fault and subduction zones...lol!

No, he was referring to the threatened tsunami.

If I feel threatened by my next-door neighbor, will Barry 0 pay my insurance premiums?

I think your case would be reviewed and challenged by this single question; Is that neighbor a progressive or under the influence of progressive policy? If so you are in luck, if not well sorry, you are costa rica bound!...lol

The Cocos plate and the Caribbean plate were doing a dance today. Plenty of quake action in Cuba, Mexico and Guatemala.

If you note on this gentleman's 3-D imaging, the fissure broke through at the north side of the location of the second swarm. There is still the main area of earthquakes that is to the south and to that area's left(under the glacier) that is still experiencing some quaking.

quake tonight albeit small but along the Cascadia Subduction Zone(CSZ).

I would without hesitation consider this one a forerunner.
