I know Judge Gordon Starkenburg personally. An honorable man. He is also a sitting Justice of the Peace, so the Paulbots better watch their step.

I also happened to be in the CD 14 caucus at the Republican Party of Texas State Convention, as well as in one of the county conventions where this Paulbot mischief went down. When I discovered their plot, I alerted our local and Texas state Republican Party leadership to alert them. Given what they tried to pull, it was a good thing I did.

Wow...I used to be a member of the Republican Women’s Club in Angleton! Back in the early ‘80s.

As a Ron Paul supporter, I see these antics as counter-productive. All they do is tick people off and alienate potential allies.

The Paulbots were the first on the GOP side to pull the cry-conspiracy-and-protest stuff when they didn’t get their way. It’s now spread to the religious right groups and hopefully won’t infect tea party groups too bad.

Sometimes there’s dirty politics in an election or other losss, but alot of times you just lose fair and square by the will of the People. Get over it and move on and try to win next time.

Does the Republican Party want to win or not?

Do they welcome small-government libertarians into the fold or bitch and moan when they stay home and vote 3rd party?

This is all a bunch of sour grapes. Ron Paul, despite his flaws, ran a brilliant campaign in 2008 that energized the small-government movement back in the GOP. Many of his supporters are simply not the kooks and anti-war nutcases portrayed on conservative blogs. They're the same people who represent the Tea Party movement now.

Either welcome the small-L Libertarians or don't say jack when they stay home or vote 3rd party.

There is also that whole Matt Collins thing in Tennessee. Big mess. I think it is more than just Paul, there is a movement by Libertarians to take over and re-funnel campaign money to their party candidates. They are moving into these positions then channeling donations to Republican candidates to Libertarians.

Sounds to me like states should have a law mandating that Electors vote for the will of the people.

The Ron PaulBots know they can’t win so they resort to
their disrupter mode.
This is typical regardless what state they deal with.
