The Republican who captured the late Sen. Edward Kennedy's seat says he wants to be sworn in immediately, not next week as planned.
An attorney for Scott Brown says in a letter Wednesday to Massachusetts Gov. Deval (deh-VAHL') Patrick that the senator-elect has been told there may be votes in which he wants to participate.

Senator-elect Scott Brown this afternoon sent a letter to governor Deval Patrick and Secretary State William Galvin, requesting them to certify without delay the results of the Jan. 19 special election.
In a letter written by his legal counsel, Daniel B. Winslow, Brown said he wanted the results certified no later than 11 a.m. Thursday so that he can deliver a copy to the Secretary of the United States Senate in time to be administered the oath of office by Thursday afternoon.
As recently as Tuesday, aides to Brown and the Senate leadership said officials were aiming for a Feb. 11 swearing-in.
Who chose 11 February? Did the Republicans agree to this before the election? If they did than they should not complain...however if they did not than complain all day.
“AIMING” - Sheesh!!!
AIMING - Sheesh!!!
Yep, that’s what they have been saying.... They being Brown’s staff and Sen. Cronyn on facebook....
I think they originally were okay with waiting until Feb 11th because the Dims promised to not schedule any controversial votes until Brown was sworn in...
but the Dims lied... what a shocker!
Sic em, Senator Brown...guys already showing more backbone than most of the Repubs we have up there....
Crats may be planning a Kamikazi style health care sneak attack.
Go Scott GO!
Not shocked. That is a tough one to win. Although we have been getting our way lately so this might happen earlier.

They are looking at two nominations and cloture votes by Thursday.... There was some discussion of them this AM but I can’t remember the names, Becker seems like one.
He should be out there screaming but he couldn't intimidate anyone

It's not even a contested election
.
K. But I would not put a sneak attack past em.
According to the Drudge Report, Feb 11 is Jihadist Day in America.
FNC Megyn Kelly just announced it’s been confirmed that Brown will be sworn in tomorrow! Yes!
Good for Brown for not putting up with the Dems devious tactics.
We ought to get that updated in the title!!!
