Other speakers at the Tea Party Convention in Nashville, Tenn., have pulled out, citing ethical questions about the for-profit event. But Sarah Palin says her $100,000 speakers fee 'will go right back to the cause.'

Others have pulled out of this weekends Tea Party Nation convention in Nashville, Tenn., but Sarah Palin is staying the course.
Explaining her decision to speak at this weekends for-profit tea party event, Ms. Palin, the popular but often polarizing ex-vice presidential candidate, says in a USA Today column today that its important to keep faith with people who put a little bit of their faith in you.

That role is only expanding. Palin is set to headline a number of events, including the kick off of the Tea Party Express III in Sen. Harry Reids hometown of Searchlight, Nev., and a planned appearance in Boston for an April tea party event.

As with all grassroots efforts, the nature of this movement means that sometimes the debates are loud and the organization is messier than that of a polished, controlled machine, she writes. Legitimate disagreements take place about tone and tactics. Thats OK, because this movement is about bigger things than politics or organizers.

A lot of people signed up just to see her speak. It would be crazy not to. Sarah has been doing an amazing job raising her profile. She is well on her way to being President.
Go Sarah!! See you in Searchlight!!
Palin is a sellout.
Just ask John McCain and Lindsay Graham.
Palin will do anything, if the price is right.
All of her principle are for sale.
ping
Well, you’re right about one thing. ALL of her events are SELL OUTS!!
GO SARAH!!
So you think posting that twice makes it true?
Palin isn't getting a fee for headlining the TPXIII kickoff rally in Searchlight, NV or for speaking at the one in Boston.
Some counterpunch, dude.
I criticized her on another thread for appearing at this convention, but maybe she’s got a point, i.e., it’s important to keep the momentum in the movement. I can’t argue with that if continuing/increased momentum is the result.
LOL!
Can someone inform me what and when about Searchlight. I have muliple reasons to be there. I have all the Reid research on Searchlight.
I refuse to fall in love with any politician, as they will break your heart every time. I have no clue if Palin is the savior of the conservative cause. All I know is I like what she says and like here history of action.
That said, Palin is not a sellout from anything I can see. She is a politician. Politicians have to pay back for favors, etc. It is not like she can be a politician and not engage in politics while doing so. She won’t get anywhere.
Your conclusion proves a profound ignorance of politics. You can’t take politics out of politics. There is a lot of back scratching, favors, and arm twisting that goes along with anyone trying to succeed in politics, and that includes trying to further your agenda. There is a lot of compromise as well.
I hate this and it is a reason I could never be a politician. Palin’s political instincts appear to be naturally fine.
I think you are naive as hell to think her political maneuvers equate to a complete sellout. Time will tell, and I’ll be happy to eat crow if you save my response and throw it back at me when I am proved wrong.
No, I won’t like everything she says and does, nor did I like everything Reagan said and did. But your statement reeks of political ignorance. Just my humble opinion that probably doesn’t sound very humble.
CP is mad because Romney peed in his cheerios.

See you there!!
There is nothing for her to “Standy by” or “Defend”...she can speak where she wants and does NOT need to answer to anybody. The Tea Party movement does not need to be apologized for either....we are cleaning house, voting dems out and rinos out.
Citizen Palin can do whatever she wants. And that’s worked out pretty well so far.

Go Sarah!!! Stand with the people, for the people!!!
There are those out there that are trying to destroy the Tea Party Movement with negative talking points.
Mostly outside the movement, but some from inside.
The TEA Party Movement is mainly made up of millions of Patriotic American Citizens that are Taxed Enough Already and support out Constitutional Republic.
The few malcontents are like gnats flying around the eyes.
Oooh, a nice little dig at Obama. Well played, Governor.
That`s just the way I see it.
Go Sarah
