Eliminating Property Taxes: It CAN be done by Nelda Carrizales Skevington on Feb 01, 2010 WHARTON, TX, Monday, February 1, 2010 - In the race for governor, there is one candidate who is promoting ideas to secure private property and solve economic problems in Texas. Her name is Debra Medina and she is being met with friction from those who claim that the elimination of property taxes is not a realistic goal.

In true Medina style, she doesn’t give up. She stands by her idea stating, "If we can lose our property to government, then we don’t really own it.

Private property is the foundation of freedom and capitalism.

If a person can’t own property then he or she is a slave to the state.

Property taxes are socialism/marxism/communism. Everyone is paying rent to the state so the state is the owner.

If Medina is for getting rid of property taxes then she is conservative and understands something about economics and freedom that most people have no clue about.
