Two days ago, a solitary car stopped at a red light. I heard a distinct sound from the car as I entered a Chili’s restaurant. I thought a box was jammed under the car from the sound but saw nothing. It was a Prius.
There may be truth to this recall.

"What about the 175 volt electric motor? Apparently the Prius has had many other problems and the electromagnetic field problem has been basically ignored...."
Regarding the motor- if it's an AC motor, there would be electromagnetic fields. AC motors, however, are more complicated to control. A DC motor, on the other hand, has the ability to start up from a dead stop, and also to run in reverse....without generating as much electromagnetic field.
