NBC Cafeteria Celebrates Black History Month With Fried Chicken Special

So who at NBC thought it would be a good idea for the special today to be, among other things, fried chicken, “in honor of Black History Month”?
Because, spoiler alert – it wasn’t a good idea at all. And now NBCU employee Questlove is bringing it to the attention of his 1 million plus Twitter followers.
Questlove, the band leader and drummer for The Roots (the house band on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon) tweeted this picture from the NBC Commissary at 30 Rock, with the comment: “Hmm HR?”

Hmm indeed. I'm pretty sure I know the MSM's reaction if this had been discovered at the Fox News cafeteria -- rightfully so I must say. I guess I don't need to wonder if anyone at MSNBC will take notice.

I’m a white guy. I love fried chicken ... it is, quite honestly, one of my favorite things on this planet. Add some buffalo sauce, and I’m in heaven.
I understand being upset at offensive stereotypes ... but I have never understood being offended at the stereotype of liking fried chicken. Everybody likes fried chicken ... because its freaking awesome.
Is it offensive just because it is a stereotype? I don’t get it.
