I was impressed by the one, where the guy asked her if she would support an income tax on the rich to make them pay there fair share (or something to that effect). She said “absolutely not”, then paused as if to indicate, do you really need an explanation for that bit on nonsense?

Look up some of her older statements from things like her column titled “Latinos and the GOP”

She isn’t who she wants to appear to be now. She, as recently as December, was scolding the GOP for being too tough in border policies because it would ‘hurt our image with the Latino community’ and scolded KBH for voting against Sotomayor.

Debra should co-opt the latest Kay Baily tag line and modify it to say . . .

Every election year you vote for Kay Baily and Rick Perry, every other year - you wonder why.

The way things look now, it seems there will almost certainly be a run-off, if Debra Medina can nudge past KB, I think she wins.

Also, the latest polls show all three of them polling ahead of the Democrat.

Here in Tx we have to listen to ads from both Gov. Perry and KBH beating up and bashing on each other. Makes me want to vote for Medina just on that alone.

For starters look up Debra Medina's column 'Latinos and the GOP'

'It’s a shame isn’t it, that Republicans continue to ignore Hispanics especially here in Texas?' Debra Medina

'Ignore them', Mrs Medina? Since when? What more do you want? Or shouldn't we ask?

Medina ad:

“Who is going to think more about Latino families? Rick Perry, Kay Bailey Hutchison or me, who has a Latino family?” (Medina’s cultural heritage is German and Bohemian.)

She told a colleague last month in an e-mail. “Being married, however, to someone with a Mexican American heritage, I certainly embrace the culture.” But before she explained that, she told my colleage, who had asked her whether she considers herself Latina: “I’d not consider myself anything other than a wife and mother, a nurse and a patriot. I believe we too often get into race when it’s immaterial.”

No, Thanks, Mrs Medina.

She is also running Spanish ads. Hello Mrs.Medina! If they cannot speak English then they have no business voting IMO. When they learn English then let them vote. Assimilate. Learn English. Appreciate all America gives you.

So I’m sure she is blowing a lot of hot air just like Obama did just to get elected. Running those ads and saying what she has, tells me the border issue is just a try to get votes for herself.

No, thanks, I’ll stick with ‘ol RINO Perry. Texas has remained in better shape than almost any if not all of the states in the union under Perry's watch. As someone said, 'he's the devil we know'.

The motly crew running for governor is laughable; a MUSLIM, a trecherous RINO woman* (Hutchison) and a woman with questionable loyalties

*Feds Have Built Only 32 Miles of 700 Mile Double-Border Fence Originally Mandated by Congress “One reason DHS has been able to do this is an amendment that Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison (R.-Texas) slipped into an omnibus appropriations bill that Congress passed on December 18, 2007. Hutchison’s amendment put a loophole in the fence law that allowed the secretary of Homeland Security not to build the fence Congress had mandated the year before.”

No, Debra, no!

Medina can say anything, since she has no record except for her lawsuit against the RPT, her sojourn as County Republican Chairman of Wharton County and, lets don’t forget, her record following Ron Paul.

There’s also her part in founding the Texas Liberty Campaign, which apparently was originally intended to be the start of a new political party. http://debramedina.us/?p=19

So you like her - a lot of people voted for Obama because they “liked” him and look where it got the rest of us. Medina talks a good game and obviuosly uses someone to write her speeches who trained with Obama’s speechwriter. She has no voting or track record. Not that Perry is the end all and be all because he’s not but Medina needs to start a little lower on the totem pole - like a city council or even the mayor of a small city, get some time under her belt, show us her voting record, then we will have something to base a decision on. Speeches don’t cut it - not for one of the largest states in the Union. DON’T MESS WITH TEXAS!!!

I liked what she had to say in the debates. She won both of them. I haven't heard any of her speeches and she's far from Obama.
