What about this being a United Negro College Fund- administered series of scholarships for itself, for the Hispanic Scholarship Fund, for the American Indian Graduate Center Scholars and Asian Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund do you not get ?

Did you follow the link and look at the scholarships? Or did you just follow your instinct to feel angry because some billionaire set up a fund to finance college educations for some minority kids? These are scholarships that take not one dime from any white kid.

If a bill were put forth in Congress to finance college educations for high-achieving, financially disadvantaged minority students with taxpayer dollars, the very same people b!tching on this thread would be screaming that it is a private matter that should not be funded by the government/taxpayers, but that wealthy individuals who want to see that result should step forward to fund it. Gates has done just that.

If you cannot understand the difference between Affirmative Action in college admissions or employment, or civil rights as to voting, housing, accommodations and employment as mandated by law, compared to an personal donation to an umbrella organization that oversees scholarships for minority students, there is little hope. In that case, you’d best stay away from any IQ comparisons.

This is what it says at the link----->>>

http://www.gmsp.org/publicweb/aboutus.aspx

Students are eligible to be considered for a GMS scholarship if they:

• Are African American, American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian and Pacific Islander American, or Hispanic American;

Everyone in America can get in on this scholarship except for white students
The black only and Hispanic only scholarships you mention should also be challenged in a court of law
But those scholarships doesn't rise the level of exclusionary racism that the Bill Gates scholarships do
It is plain racist to exclude only one racial group, whites
At least with your United Negro College Fund they are excluding whites, Asians, American Indians (some have a lot of black blood though and might qualify) Hispanics are also excluded unless you are Negro Hispanic I guess

How about someone who immigrates from Africa or Jamaica at age 14 with his parents?
This clown who immigrated to the big bad racist USA can get a Bill Gates college scholarship and my son can't?
This is one reason why would like to curtail 3rd world immigration
These people come over here and get all kinds of racial preferences and affirmative action
My people have been here 100 years..... so some black or Hispanic can immigrate here and get put ahead of me via these various racial spoils systems

Since you think you are so clever than tell me this--
Is it illegal to establish "whites only" college scholarships?

Also make a case for someone who immigrates here getting on the affirmative action gravy train. Are you even aware of the original justifications for affirmative action and which groups it was limited to? Give it a shot Mr Hi IQ
