I grew up in the south (bamma and fla) but now live in southern Michigan.

If I want grits for breakfast I have to drive 35 miles to Indiana or Ohio.

It's like grits were outlawed in Mi! You just can't find it on any breakfast menu in this state.

Several things I don't miss...’country ham’ ( I'd rather eat a salt block ) and boiled peanuts.

I don’t like country ham or boiled peanuts either. Love tea, but everyone here calls it sweet tea. I didn’t know there was any other kind. Went to TGIFridays in Ft. Lauderdale (Hollywood)and asked for tea and they said they didn’t have tea. What????
