I used to listen to AIR AMERICA and I've located a local station which broadcasts plenty of progressive far left libbies.
Radio is different from TV. Whereas there is NO way I could watch Olbermann or Matthews, there's several far left radio talk show hosts who I frequently tune in.
So... I don't "need" to discuss anything political with anyone liberal -- I simply listen to folks like Mike Malloy and the people who call in to commisserate with him. They are ardent True Believers who despise Governor Sarah Palin, have utter disgust with Glenn Beck, and ... why I am amused by listening to them, they are all vervently angry with that hack conservative Barack Obama, he is WORSE than Hillary, he is Hillary on Steroids, ETC/ETC. They adore Howard Dean and they sincerely believe that Dennis Kucinich is the ONLY Democrat who is honest and trustworthy.
There is NO way that I would try to explain ANYTHING about terrorism to anybody who remeotely believes all the stuff I listen to on Far Left talk radio.
NO way.
How about you set up a blog, and then you can write your heart out about these issues which are obviously so important to you, and you obviously are an articulate eloquent writer, and have great ideas, with the education & knowledge to back it all up.
I don't... really actually believe that it is entirely SAFE to engage the far left libbies in face to face conversation, seriously....

I heard a good test to see someones politics once, which really is a mind set. It was very simple.
It went like this:
Lets skip the reason you have a loaded .45 cal colt 1911 on you.
'You are out side with your family you have the weapon on you. You notice a guy dressed in robes with a knife in one hand running right at you and your family with the look of death in his face. Realistically what do you do?'
Answers:
A. Aim to kill and empty the weapon into the guy.
B. Aim to kill and take one shot.
C. Aim to wound with one shot.
D. knock the guy out with the back of the weapon.
F. This isn't enough information to act on this, then ask important questions like what color are his robes.
If you answered:
A. your a right wing extremist.
B. your a conservative.
C. your a moderate.
D. your a lib
F. your a left wing wacko
I thought this was a really good test to see your politics.
how money is spent and how large government is all seems to fall together with this test.
I doubt it is perfect but I think it is fairly close.
