WASHINGTON, D.C. - A stung U.S. Sen. Scott Brown lashed out at U.S. Rep. Patrick Kennedy today for insulting his landmark win by calling his candidacy “a joke.”
Brown said Kennedy’s remarks are “mean spirited,” especially coming on the day he was celebrating being sworn into office.
“I was elected and the votes are certified and I’m here to do my job. It’s unfortunate that he would use mean-spirited comments like that at a time when we’re just trying to solve the problems of the Commonwealth,” Brown said today on his first full day on the job.

He wasn’t ‘stung’. He didn’t ‘lash’ out. In fact, it’s refreshing for a GOP member of Congress to give an immediate smackdown of the true joke Patrick.

As for Kennedy, he faces a Republican rival who is backed by Brown’s top strategists.
A WPRI-12 poll shows Kennedy with a 56 percent unfavorability rating in his district. Republican challenger John J. Loughlin II, a veteran state lawmaker, entered the race yesterday.
Loughlin said Kennedy is out of touch with Rhode Island voters. “We can’t afford it anymore,” he added.
A Kennedy spokesman declined to comment.

Actually, it’s perfect. Lefties can’t stand it when you throw their own favorite slurs back AT them. Brown knew what he was doing when he chose that term.

I thought that could apply to all of them...
Between the headline and 1st sentence, a reader not familiar with the Senator and the lush would get the impression that the lush beat up the Senator, and the Senator made a flailing attempt at retribution while a couple of girl scouts called a wahbulance for him.
Until you see the picture of same lush, mortified that the Senator came to visit in person, and just about to cause the lush to lose yet another very short battle with his bladder....
Not a fan, I see. It remains to be seen how Brown will serve the conservative movement and the tea party patriots. One thing’s for sure....

Sticking it to the Kennedys is a worthwhile expenditure. Even if you replace them with a “centrist” repub the hot poker in the ass for them is as Tony the Tiger used to say, GREAT!!!!
I like Brown OK. And certainly I was cheering him on to beat Croakey. I just put him down as someone who I have relatively low expectations for. Maybe he’ll surprise me.
Brown is channeling 1980-1995 Clint Eastwood pretty hard in that picture. The Lesser Kennedy looks like he wishes he was anywhere but in front of the grinning, imposing Eastwood lookalike. Sweet. If Brown spits, run like hell Patches.
I hope he swings on every moron with a big mouth who attacks him in the future.
