UGH. At closer inspection (gag) I think you’re right!
A gentleman’s slacks should be worn so the top reaches the navel, or ever so slightly below the navel, with the rise measured accurately for comfort ‘down there’.
The tailor should know whether you ‘dress left’ or ‘dress right’. That’s equally important for comfort.
Also, the point of a gentleman’s tie should touch the top of his belt when he is standing upright.
But I realize that is expecting far too much of a Kennedy.
