As with so many ideas I am sure there are many who would agree with my common sense test. You have not commented on my example. You simply ignore the problems that can occur in apportioning Representatives and just blindly go along with a person is a person and a citizen is a citizen. A citizen is also a person but a person is not necessarily a citizen. I know what the Constitution says but why would such a distinction be made when something so important as providing representation is concerned?

It still is a good tool for collecting data, regardless of it’s purpose.

There's other more efficient means to account for illegals which wouldn't disenfranchise the votes of the American people.

Local police departments, to name one.

Yes, but this is going to happen, and doesn’t need all the local depts to agree on, find the time and personnel and fund it. May as well do it in parallel with the census. Just take the data along with the other data. It doesn’t have to disenfranchise anyone, it’s just a tool for data collection.

It never ceases to amaze me what a great country America actually is when people as stupid as Charlie Crist is can rise to such heights.

Yes, but this is going to happen.

I wouldn't take money on that.

You don’t think the census is going to happen?

I don't think being here illegally will be officially tolerated much longer.

If its not tolerated it won't be counted.
